  1. Recap episodes are a staple of this style of show. Just be glad it's not Naruto, that thing has a like a third of every episode flashing back to previous episodes.

  2. Korra has some really nice payoff to the Aang gang's relationships. It's a real shame that nickelodeon didn't let them make it how they wanted. It was essentially on the chopping block every season, so they couldn't create a smooth story like they were able to with The Last Airbender

  3. I've mentioned this before to another reactor, the Southern Raiders may have been looking for Hama (the blood bender, S3E16) when they attacked the Southern Water Tribe. Although she would have been closer in age to Gran-gran, she would have been a mature, grown woman who was extremely dangerous. Perhaps too dangerous to return to the Fire Nation prisons; it may have been approved to kill the female waterbender on site. I can't imagine that the Southern Raiders were attacking the Southern Water Tribe for a young child, plus it's unlikely that the prisoned waterbenders even knew of Katara and that she had waterbending capabilities. Katara's mother would not have known that they were looking for an adult female, a mature woman water bender, when she offered herself as the water bender the Fire Nation was searching for and would have expected to be imprisioned like previously captured water benders.

  4. It’s actually perfect that it ends here.. too many shows these days are dragged out and go from good to really bad because the writers run out of good ideas. It’s nice to see a show that ended on a high note and they always had an ending in mind rather than just writing it as they go along and make season after season to fill a television slot

  5. I'm sure you're aware, but Legend of Korra is the sequel series taking place after Avatar (with a new main character). We've also just found out that the creators will be going forward with a new series which follows after Legend of Korra! If you thought the animation and action sequences are good now, Korra takes it up a notch while the story isn't necessarily better or worse than Avatar.

  6. I’m kinda glad they concluded it when they did, I would have liked some more episodes (and still would) but I also like when shows know when to end it. A lot of shows will keep going and decline as they do

  7. I hope you guys will watch the next iteration which is legend of Korra really good and it starts off of the person being a teenager instead of a child

  8. Hey holden have you seen Magi it's an anime with a similar vibe to Avatar I feel, there was a prequel made by Netflix that never got finished sadly that reminded me even more of avatar. Netflix took the prequel off the service sadly idk why.

  9. One of my favorite moments of the series you wouldn't get on first watch but when Azula, Mai and Ty Lee are in front of the Earth King, Azusa says its a shame when you can't trust those who are closest to you. When she is saying that, Mai and Ty Lee look at each other, foreshadowing them betraying Azula.

  10. I’m pretty sure the reason for the next season not happening was because Nickelodeon forced the movie to happen before they greenlit the story resuming.
