My Most HATED skill is… a quest?

Welcome to Unguided, where I’m trying to complete every quest in old school runescape without using a guide, wiki or plugins. I’ll only be using my limited knowledge and in-game learnings. Full rules below.

Watch the full Unguided series here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ1r83HxniSXUcxA2uRNHNWqyMDDRtUtZ&si=nNge3LpA1fqhdubt

RULES
– No use of OSRS wiki (or any equivalent) for anything – this includes looking up item spawns, quest guides, boss guides, anything
– No use of any other quest helper sites
– No use of quest helper plugin
– Essentially no use of any outside-game assistance

CAVEATS
– I love OSRS YouTube, I might inadvertently learn something I don’t know by watching my favourite content creators, but I’m not going to stop watching them so that’s just a risk I’m willing to take + it’s unlikely going to be relevant for me
– I may use some QoL plugins, but only a few. Loot tracker to prove grinds, ground items so I don’t miss drops (and to add cool loot beams lol) and left click to use bones. Nothing that will give me info I didn’t previously have
– I’m going to try and avoid any spoiler comments. If you can, please try not to help me if there’s an episode where I’m stuck on something. I appreciate the sentiment but telling me an item spawn or quest step could spoil the fun 🙂

  1. This is still great but also now starting to look forward to the later stages of this series now where not just the quests are the problems but also just how you will be grinding out the high level requirements for the grandmaster quests without the wiki to tell you the best methods for an ironman. Kind of hoping it will be something non-meta.

  2. I've played this game for over 15 years and use the wiki for every little thing in the world and I still manage to learn something from watching you every episode. Love it

  3. Can I give you one little piece of knowledge? Actually not even knowledge just point you to 1 single thing. It’s not a spoiler, has nothing to do with questing or leveling your skills, nothing to do with your journey. It’s purely a quality of life.
I don’t want to ruin anything so I thought I would ask permission instead of just mentioning anything.

  4. The white fruit is just a worst version of the strange fruit, you didn't miss anything. Heals almost nothing (like 2hp) and gives you a slight bit of run energy (like 10%). They don't even cure venom/poison. They're practically useless in modern OSRS due to the fact you can get strange fruits way easier now, but back then they were a bit useful for free run energy alternatives to potions and strange fruits since used to you could only get them from random events.

  5. From one Englishman to another, I love the way your character and dry humour has shone through throughout this series. It's been entertaining, compelling, and fantastically presented throughout, a reason to smile while I've been recovering from norovirus, and an inspiration to get back into this wonderful game myself. Huge respect to you, and luck in your future trials with this series.

  6. I love the part in Garden of Tranquility that just interrupts the quest with a little survey of "Are you enjoying the AMAZING new farming skill?" [yes] [definitely] [ABSOLUTELY]

Also the quiz mentions PKmaster0036 and I just noticed on rewatching the cutscene he's the guy that brutally murders the two guards.

  7. There are ways to train farming that are less of a daily in Hosidius. The irony is that I enjoy the daily aspect of farming, and that aspect of it is why I have 91 osrs farming and 120 rs3 farming with the player farms that I can just leave them with food a few days and come back to rewards. OSRS Mahogany trees? Love 'em! And that's the exact reason why I can't stand that minigame where you just sit there and farm perpetually.

  8. Pretty sure teh crazy guy in falador talking about the "THING", im pretty sure he's referring to the Agility course and players looking at him though his roof windows.

  9. 13:53 I knew Lyra had a dark backstory but playing these back to back I didn't realize how much she had in common with Fenkenstrain to survive in these lands, even worse that she says she recognizes the power of Charos. Those two have a history?! That or some other malevolent force on her mind, but just bad news all around living in Morytania, sheesh.

14:15 The worst part is for all I know they did exactly that and I never noticed. Wouldn't be the only time a doppelganger replaced a dead quest npc…
