Music Mission Kiev 10/8/2023

The Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (KSOC) is known internationally and has had countless recordings. They toured the United States for the first time in 1996, performing 27 concerts for over 30,000 admiring fans. In 1998, KSOC was welcomed back to the United States, expanding their tour to 41 concerts. They wowed audiences in prestigious venues, such as Carnegie Hall in New York City, Severance Hall in Cleveland, Ohio, Jacoby Symphony Hall in Jacksonville, Florida and Duke Chapel in Durham North Carolina.

Under the leadership of Conductor Vika Konchakovskaya, 30 brilliant women from KSOC are preforming a variety of music. Vika and the ladies have worked hard to create a special concert program and deliver a command performance. Due to the war, the men of KSOC are not permitted to travel to the US at this time, but are coordinating their own concert in Kyiv.

Music Mission Kiev is a non-profit organization dedicated to Christian mission and service to the people of Kyiv. The organization began with the experience of a Florida church music director who was invited to Ukraine to conduct Handel’s Messiah. Its outreach programs have expanded to focus on assistance for widows in need of help and hope, children longing for care and connection, war victims and wounded people searching for shelter.
