  1. At a concert I was at a girl and guy were moshing in the pit. They head butted by mistake, guy broke his nose, girl was knocked out. They stopped the pit, got the guy a path to infront of the stage and
Crowd surfed the girls body to the barrier so security and emt could get her.

From what I have seen personally, you are more likely to get cared for by juggalos, screamo fans and emo kids then any rap or pop fans. Literally had a freind break a rib from getting pushed into a barrier at a MGK concert.

  2. Thank you for what you do! I was in NJ at Adjacent Festival and got separated from my husband and daughter when I assisted a boyfriend in carrying his girlfriend who syncopized and wouldn't come to from the crowd. Her boyfriendwas screaming for help just to the left of my daughter in the midst of a sea of people. My daughter told him "My mom's an ICU nurse!" (I'm a cardiovascular ICU RN.) I told my husband to stay with my daughter. I cared for her to the best of my ability without equipment while he ran to get medical, and I did get her to roust with a tiny bottle of scented hand sanitizer in my pocket. Cell phone reception was so bad that I couldn't get a text or call through to my husband or daughter after the girl was safely transported to ED. They were panicked, and unfortunately I missed watching Blink182's set with them. Festival medical work is very difficult: lots of drugs, drinking, low blood sugars, assaults, and crowd surfing gone wrong! Thank you for your service to our communities, and your humor that keeps us all laughing ❤

  3. Being in that crowd looks absolutely miserable

I don’t go to concerts myself but I at least see the appeal of them, I’ll never understand music festivals.

  4. Damn! That’s really intense! I never considered how much more difficult it must be to be working as an EMT at a festival or concert. I’m sure it’s crazy and hard enough just being local, but at events with huge crowds, it must be even more crazy.

  5. I had a girl next to us blacked out completely at This Ain’t No Picnic. Fortunately we were right in front of the barricades. So with the help of other guys, we lifted her over the barricade for the security guys to get her. That’s why you gotta make sure that you’ve drank enough water and that you’re well hydrated and fed when you’re going to a festival.

  6. A few weeks ago, my sister and I went to a concert and something happened to someone (not fully sure what happened) and the whole crowd opened up for people to get to her and get her back to a door and she was just laying there for a while. First time that I’ve ever seen something like that happen.

  7. Thanks for this video. As a fellow EMS instructor (you certainly are whether you are a classroom educator or not) I find your content funny peppered with legit info. This video was helpful to me. I also work events and, with your permission, I would like to use this clip to help train new event EMTs. I also respect your shift in demeanor for this bit of content. The varied demeanor that you deploy in your content represents the true-to-life affect of this trade. Also showcases your expertise in bedside manner. Well done, keep up the good work!

  8. At warped tour in the falling in reverse crowd, someone dropped their phone. A small circle of the crowd parted and shined flashlights at the floor til we found it. That wasn’t even CLOSE to a medical emergency. I’ll always feel unity in a crowd at a concert.

  9. Saw metallica yesterday, some girl was so dehydrated she passed out in the middle of the crowd. Some people literally refused to move when some tried to carry her out. It was insane, but she made it out safe and got water and food. She's all good now^

  10. I’ve seen some crazy shit at music festivals. I had to break one of the number one rules of a head injury which is don’t move the person because he was literally going to get trampled in a mosh if someone didn’t move him. Luckily he was fine but it’s crazy what can happen. I’ve also had to help pass a girl over the barrier to medical too because she was about to pass out.

  11. Every time I’m at a metal show and someone in the pit goes down, everyone starts flashing their phone flashlights at the band and they have always stopped the show for paramedics to get through. It’s awesome

  12. Check out the majority of who’s holding the tunnel

    It’s young women and girls

I’d love to know who they were waiting to see

Queer and femme crowds are some of the most supportive groups

Also looks like it was early in the day which helps too as people are more alert and focused before all the drugs kick in lol

  14. A lot of concerts I’ve been to where someone’s passed out, the crowd has always parted like this, and even in one case the artist insisted more water get distributed in the crowd after the incident. It’s good to know that’s not always the case and to look out for fellow fans in a crowd

  15. People are genuinely compassionate. Without having to compromise themselves just to make ends meet, they'll have the freedom to be altruistic.

The problem is there are people that no matter how much they have, what they're after it the ability to make other people do things they don't want to do. Money and things come as a result of such a lack of compassion, but money and things weren't the goal.

The good people need to be protected from these predators, because they don't believe the predators exist.

  16. One time at a Set It Off concert there was a mosh pit and some people dropped their shit and it all got passed up to the front. A wallet, set of keys, a bag, a scarf, and a phone all belonging to different people made it back to their owners because Cody held them up for people while he was still singing. I believe the owner of the bag got carried to the front too lol.
