Didn't have a horse in this race, really. I don't really like the use of transitive power scaling("A can survive a nuke"+"B can beat A"+"Can beat B"=/="C has nuke-level power/durability") but I think this is the right decision anyway. Guts is cool, but he lives in a much grittier world than Dimitri, who lives in an anime-powered world and has access to magic and such.

I was expecting people to be upset over gut's loss but so far all I've seen is absolute respect for Dimitri for fighting the demons coming for gut's soul. That's really awesome!

So I have a wierd take on this…Guts has a general reputation of being an absurdly tough SOB, right? Well seeing his capabilities be more fully explained, his limits addressed, and him actually losing this match up…almost makes me relate to the character more. It's easy to forget that with all the crazy stuff Guts deals with, at the end of the day he's still a mortal man! Also I like that we're continuing the respectful death trend as also seen in Vader Vs Obito.
Death battle I have a suggestion. What a bout chuuya from bungou stray dogs vs shiki from Eden zero since they both have the ability of gravity manipulation please 🙏
The manga of Berserk its not over yet i think, right? So, i can't wait to see what else Guts is going to gain in his journey and then we can see this fight properly.
