  1. Really dumb things about this device was the 3.5mm/headphones port necessity. Within a few years, as we all know, this port would disappear from smartphones altogether. Though I guess the product didn't last long enough to have to deal with that problem and release a new [USB, BT, etc.] version. But the reliance on the cellphone was stupid to begin with since standalone $40-50 BACtrack devices existed at the time (and unlike Breathometer still do today); are more accurate/recognised/reputable. And BACtrack even had a BT/phone-app capable version of their product when this pitch was made. How the Sharks didn't know about that, is sort of mind boggling.

  3. Any first year public defender or state attorney would’ve laughed that idea out the room ….

Even the professional devices aren’t accurate without meticulous calibration, let along some stupid phone app.

  4. Breathalyzers are not accurate.

Blood alcohol content is in your blood not your breath.

I “failed” 4 breathalyzers when I was in the 4th grade during a career day thing at school. And no, I do not have auto brewery syndrome.

After lunch my class went to the firefighters and police officers section and I volunteered to do the breathalyzer test.

I got pulled aside by the cops and was asked if mom had any special drinks I wasn’t allowed to have and I said no, because there were no special drinks but the cops called my mom at work, she had to leave early and come home. I had to leave school and the cops told my mom what happened and needed to search the apartment because they thought I had been drinking alcohol, guess what, no alcohol in the apartment because my mom didn’t drink alcohol. The cops even went through the trash bags that hadn’t been taken out yet, no alcohol.

The cops then gave me a 4th breathalyzer test in front of my mom about two hours after the one at school and the cop shows the reading to the other cop and says “it’s higher now than it was at the school.” And they had been with me the whole two hours.

It’s called – poor dental hygiene. Yeah, that simple. Which can cause an inaccurate reading on breathalyzers.

  7. The sharks who bought into it are equally responsible for what happened. They didn't do their research, then they sold the product anyway. Playing the victim is bs on their part.

  8. What people dont understand is that the sharks are business people. It is even written that not all deals go through because sometimes, when they dive into the books and documents after the show, they find out about a lot of things that don't add up. Some people over pitch. But some products actually get deals and become successful.

Just brush your teeth 2 times per day or 3 times per day if you have breath issues 😳. B*ll 💩

    Waste of everyone’s time!!

  10. They were supposed to follow up on the alleged research studies and then agree on proceeding with the investments based only on the condition that his product passed ALL the background checks!!🤣🤣
