The overall series for me I didn’t love it but I enjoy it.If this gets a season 2 I’ll watch it.
You got to admit the world building in this series and in the monsterverse is fricking great. Also I can’t believe the series ended with cate and the gang’s in 2017 my favourite year. That’s the year I discovered this channel Blind Wave.
It connects to Mecha Godzilla because you see how the Apex Mecha also has Kong in it with its long arms and primate movement to handle both Kong and Godzilla in GvK 😮. Remember the episode with caged monkeys in Apex Experiments that caused May to rebel against Apex and get into trouble and disappear 😮😮.
The place they're at is called "Axis Mundi". The title of episode 9. Time dilation happens when you get stuck there but don't happen when you make it through to the hollow Earth. Which isn't really inside Earth but a parallel space.
That reunion scene. Even just getting the YouTube edit is heartbreaking. Kurt Russel and Mari Yamamoto left nothing on the table.
Seeing Anna Sawai in Shogun has made me want to watch Monarch again.

It's pretty difficult to tell a story which is going back and forth in time and especially when time works differently in two different worlds

Always love this channel because of how authentic their reactions are, the differences between them and other react channels are that they actually emotionally invest in anything they're watching, I'm a HUGE Godzilla fan and have been ever since I was a child and I can't get enough of watching this finale and my god it was awesome sharing emotions with someone else on this episode, well done gentlemen!!!
Yeah, the movies and this show have to pay (a ton) to get the license to the original Toho theme, and for each of any of the Toho monsters. So King of the Monsters paid a ton for the original music and for 3 of the Toho monsters, which is part of the reason the movies are just using their own music and monster designs now. They're trying to rein in the budget a little more. I imagine they MAY license a monster here and there still, but probably won't go all out like they did in KotM again.
Yeah, i have never been a godzilla or other kaiju fan. Like i saw a couple and they just aren't for me. I heard this was good, so figured I'd give it a try. I was surprised how much I liked it, because of this I might actually give Minus One a try since I've heard it was really good. But i hold out little hope since again, kaiju was never interesting to me.

I'm not sure if you guys know this but the character of Duvall talks about the death of her sister as being the reason why she joined Monarch. The reason why she released Lee Shaw from the prisoner transport was because she wanted to make a change for her sister. The sister she's referring to was Bryan Cranston's character's wife in Godzilla 2014.
Godzilla Minus One made me cry like a baby during many parts.

this was an great finale, i really liked the Monarch series. it's maybe the best thing i like in the monsterverse for now and we see that the human storylines work very good here. was great to see the crews emotions the whole time.
Damn. Pretty great last episode. Loved the Godzilla fight, screamed when he used his atomic breath. And I cried twice, harder the second time. SO much for her to process…
Just a few dumb things as usual. Like the conflict between Kentaro and his dad making them not work together, doesn't make sense. And Keiko saying she's gonna stay. And how Lee didn't get in the pod the whole time they were fighting…
