As a mother, I cannot imagine this call as a dispatcher. I know she’s using everything in her to be calm and helpful.
After this, every person whose call she answers, might as well be her baby girl.

"HELP IS ON THE WAY NOW" SO THE CALLER DOESN'T FEEL HELPLESS BECAUSE OPERATOR IS ASKING QUESTIONS??!!!

Thats like the mom who answered her sons call and he was shot and didnt make it. I work customer service for a life insurance company and i get sad when someone makes a death claim. I could NEVER do this job.
Why the dispatchers so non shallot there in a freezer. They need help now not all them during questions.
I always think it would be good to say they’re on their way already. Then keep asking questions. At least dispatch some of the help possible. Then immediately find out who else needs to go. Fire ambulance police power company…..

OMGosh that's an actual nightmare!
Dispatcher, tell them that someone is on the way so they don't keep asking and worrying. Then tell them you need to ASK these questions.
