You may have heard of New World, the new MMO upcoming from Amazon Studios. This is an MMO that features a rich open world with lots of quests, treasures, discoverable locations, settlements, and even territory and faction warfare. It’s in Beta right now through August 2, with a release date of Aug 31. I played a little of the Alpha last year and I’ve been fooling around in the Beta, and I wanted to give you my impression so far.
What kind of player is New World for? What kind of MMORPG is it? And perhaps the most important question, is it worth your time at all? Let’s talk about New World!

Thanks Momma… I keep wanting to call you Momma Murphy(but much cuter) because I'm replaying some Fallout 4. A very good synopsis thanks. It sounds very interesting, kinda like my neighborhood but with save games. Ha!
It's hard(for me) to find new games to play. I've played Ark Survival Evolved about 1700 hours the last two years. A great and beautiful game that has benefited from regular updates and a strong single player and multiplayer community. But watching some tips and tricks videos is a necessity. I've been playing some No Man's Sky too but it's not really a good streaming game. Hope to see you streaming New World if you like.
Having just finished playing a masterpiece like the witcher 3, I'm looking for something really cool to play. From what I see from the video this game seems well done, I like the setting, graphically fluid, are there any romances? Waiting for the xbox version, I dove into DAI. Thanks MM nice video as always. I don't trust Amazon but all my friends have said this is a great game so far, especially with proximity chat. Worth a try but they'll need to stick with it and carry on the standard if they want to break into the MMO market dominated by FFXIV right now
The combat looks like it might be fun for a while, but it seems to me like the game would turn into a second job some time in.
Hi MM, thanks for the video – I've watched a few reviews of this one, but your take on it was the most useful to me. I suck so badly at PVP they should erect statues of me – wearing a dunce hat – and holding a rubber sword. I'm PVE through and through, and story means a huge amount to me. The way you've described it, it sounds like it's going to turn into a "this is a "insert clan or group name" server, and anyone else who dares to come here gets squashed" because that – sadly is what toxic little kids love. As a result, looks like I may have to give an otherwise perfectly okay game a miss, and that's a real shame – far better for me to know that now though. Thanks for your opinion on how it's looking – maybe I'll come back and take another look at it in six months or so once the servers have settled down.
