Mick Mars Files Lawsuit Against Motley Crue, Band Fires Back in Statement

Months after announcing his retirement from touring, Mick Mars has filed a lawsuit against his Motley Crue bandmates, claiming that they’ve been trying to kick him out and ‘gaslighting’ him. Motley Crue have since issued a statement on the lawsuit, calling it ‘unfortunate’ and ‘off-base’. Read more: https://loudwire.com/motley-crue-statement-mick-mars-lawsuit/

  1. Wait…let me get this straight.
So….Mick Mars…couldn’t remember the songs…and played the wrong chords…..so you threw Vince, Tommy and Nikki on the pre-recorded tracks….but left Mick to play live?
    How does THAT work???

  2. "Here's a bunch of of letters from the crew we pay and can fire that swear we are the ones telling the truth". Also hilariously sad they admit to using pre-recorded materiel during their live performances and think "but we do it because it's that guy's fault" somehow makes it ok. This entire band should have retired a decade ago to hold onto what ever legacy any of them had left. Too late now.

  4. Well this is heartbreaking. Now Iam beginning to believe Nikki is a bully like everyone says. Mick is great and has been the true musical artist in the band!! I love John Corabi and look what they did to him!! I've watched interviews with Corabi and Carmine Appice on "Artist on Record with Adika Live" and those are two honest guys!! I'm team Mick and I hope he gets the 25% and more!!!!

  5. I agree i have been. Die hard from 1981 never left them because Mick has been the one guy who was is the clue of this band. Now fat boy Vince and Mr hair wig Nicky and Mr drunk Tommy. They are kicking out the one band member who has always been there.

What the F i have lost all respect i had for Mr hair wig Nicky aka Fred or Frank?

Fat boy singer who can't sing anymore and. Mr bottle Tommy

Fans please don't waste your money now the one guy who was the only member who played great with his cronic pain

Mick Mars sue their ass. Off number one for you to get 25 to 35% of the money they have ripped fans off

After all thease years 1981. Iam no longer
A crue fan. Love u Mick Mars

  6. Team Mick! I will bet Mick spent the least amount of time in the studio. I was shocked that Vince sucked the entire time. But go check out the live SATD tour on the tube. Maybe back then it was the cocaine? Now he just can't keep up with the tempo.

  7. In the court of public opinion, Mick will prevail. Not sure how it will workout in the courtroom, though. Nikki Six's logic makes no sense. Mick couldn't remember his parts so the solution was to put all of Nikki's parts on tape, tape backing vocals for Neil, and tape portions of Tommy's drums, while leaving MICK to play live. Yeah…that makes a hell of a lot of sense. As for the signed statements from the MC road crew, of course they're going to sign it. How many bands can tour globally at that scale today? You have Leppard, Taylor Swift, Springsteen, Garth Brooks, and a few others. They want to keep their jobs. On another note, I hope John 5 wasn't aware of all this crap before he took the job. If the boys told him what they thought of Mick and what they intended on doing, John 5 would lose all respect from me. He had a great gig with Rob Zombie and his solo stuff. He certainly wasn't starving.

  8. It takes some balls to criticize someone elses playing when your instrument isn't even plugged in and the sound of your instrument is being piped through the PA from a "studio polished pre-recorded tape!".. Seriously, Nikki?..

  9. MOTLEY BOO! Mick is telling the truth! 100%. I Love J 5 and will have no hate tossed his way from me. However, he should think strongly on this decision. Does he really want to be associated with 3 guys that don’t even play live? Na! Keep your slate clean J 5 and say NO to the Motley Boo! These guys are going to run it right into the ground.

  10. Yet he called Jake a slanty eyed gook and is on video calling an African painting a "n**ger" painting… none of these are saints. Motley Crue is a bunch of super sketchy guys. I know a bunch of people are gonna come at me, hiding behind their username aliases threatening me and stuff…I really don't care … I'm not hiding… there's way better 80s bands out there that don't act like idiots

  11. I'm not rooting for a guy who literally called Jake E Lee a slanty eyed gook and referred to an African painting as a "N***er" painting…all the guys in Motley Crue are super sketch.

  12. 3:11 – Curious that the "declarations" were signed by the . . . bass tech and drum tech, but not a guitar tech.
So Nikki's and Tommy's techs speak up, but the one that would probably most know about the guitar player does not.
If there really were issues, one should speak up. I can see some loyalty to Mick being a reason to keep quiet, but when everyone else speaks up there is no shame (unless others might be being pressured by the leaders of the pack to side with them so they can keep their jobs).

  13. I really wish people would stop being so incredibly hateful and bitter. It's Nikki's band. It was his vision, he wrote the songs, created the image, and drove the engine that is Motley Crue. Who gives a shit about his level of bass playing ability. That's not what he cares about and we shouldn't either. This entire thing is tragic for anyone who loves this band.

  14. They shouldn’t have come back.
They had a good final send off and now they’re back with this nonsense, not to mention big boy Vince who is a joke at this point.

It’s honestly insulting to fans, you can tell it’s entirely money related.
    No integrity anymore.
Might have to rethink this ticket I have to their UK tour…

  15. It’s nothing but business now. What a shame. When it gets to this point, you really should hang it up if you’re a rock ‘n’ roll band. Loved them back in the day. Dr. feel good and self titled MC with John Corabi are DOPE. Too bad it has come to this.😒

  16. As far as rock and heavy metal goes they all should retire the music died in 2020 when Neil peart rush and Eddie van halen pasted away. The past 20 to 30 years has in the most part everyone listen to the rap crap.
