Too many freak’n ads
nice
First time living in an apartment with WFH jobs really fucked up my time awareness, it could be 9PM and I would feel like it's still around 3PM, even if I see the dark night out it just doesn't feel real. My room is in a constant light level throughout the day that I really can't feel time anymore. The only thing that keeps me in sync with time is my interaction with other people.
Cities are such miserable places to live. I'll take a small town or the countryside any day.
damn here I was waiting for a hive city from warhammer 40k
I just subscribed and I have always been a fan of basically things being built by human beings as well as how or what it perpetuates + The Milanote plug, mad helpful!
I hate big cities. I had to go do some training in Chicago a few years back. The whole area is called Chicagoland. Too many people, too much crime and it was dirty. When cities start building upwards, it is time to get out.
If we ever get to a time were these building issues are a thing, society will probably have collapsed and fallen into a state of anarchy. The resources and logistics systems would not be able to support this type of massive population.
This video is perfect for showing us what to avoid in the future.
milanote sounds like just the board app thingy i was looking for, thanks for sharing that info. I'll definitely try it 🙂
Torquing seems more so like torsion. By definition yeah I guess it could be a torque but it’s more so torsion.
you clearly dont know what you are talking about
damn I hate Corbusier's legacy
do a cyberpunk 2077 video
Would you do something on James Bond villains homes
just curious are you married??
What if we built underground. Wouldn’t that cut energy usage, lessen our surface footprint and maybe reduce emissions? All food and activities above ground and sleeping and main living underground. Just an idea.
Cities are a failed experiment and people need to leave them for the suburbs and rural areas asap. The only real solution is space colonization.
can i say THANK YOU for ur Content.
What a hell. I really hope none of those futures become true.
Thank you YouTube Algorithm! Another content to binge!!
think it going from cement to superconductors and microfluids
Totally in love with you 😍😍😍
My guess is that the concrete, poorly zoned cities shown in futuristic dystopian films is because the USSR DID build that kinda crap. It was bleek, depressing and very unsafe.
How does the maintainment of the huge buildings actually work? How can it be ensured that the substance of these buildings will last over centuries? Or will they maybe need to be deconstructed at some time?
This is fantastic. Just dicovering your channel and I'm in love with it. I live in a city designed by Le Corbusier' standards. Built by Lucio Costa and designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, Brasilia in Brazil embodies all of the sectional concepts and the lack of liveliness you mentioned. Thank you for your work.
Interesting video.
sheesh battery hens have better lives
One of the best designs I have seen in fiction (I don't remember the story, it was decades ago that I read it) was a pyramid. It was not a solid pyramid like the ones in Egypt, but rather a lot of buildings interconnected with the weight of upper floors in the center spread over outer shorter buildings on the outside. The very outer "skin" of the pyramid was green houses, providing the food and oxygen for the building. This protected the inner buildings from wind, while the slope sides offered less resistance to the wind. Unfortunately, I have never seen anyone try to model this design.
Your bit about the skyways makes me think about how the real issue with them isn't architecture or anything practical, (as they FULLY work, and seem to be a good thing,) it's more the attitudes building owners would have towards them. It also makes me think that if designing a futuristic city, the issue with ownership could actually be addressed if you assume the government may have control over its own architecture. That a more socialistic society would allow it.
As a europian we have gone with the fuck it, just build it outside the stuff that already exists or if something is going down due to fire or war, etc, just fill that slot. It has worked for the last 1000 years.
sorry to correct but the building in mega city one does not go on lock down with every crime…MaMa wanted the 2 judges dead and locked them in the building via a hacker that initiated a building lockdown for purposes of "War testing"..i can only assume these doors are only supposed to close under threat of war(prolly a nuke strike) or a war test…sorry, but i had to correct…other than that good video!
Good and interesting!
What do you think about skyscrapers hanging "down" from the atmosphere?
(Instead of built from the ground up)
Or Cloudcity as in "Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back"?
(which either floats alt. flies around in the air/atmosphere)
Still don't understand why we dont build downward
I really like the concept of mega Earthscrapers. Never see them depicted enough
we wont live long enough to see this uncertain reality so whats the point in dissecting it besides entertainment
2050? R u joking right? If we have 10 more years on this planet it's alot already, this place is falling apart by the day just like the bible says it would look like at the end, accept Jesus as lord and savior while u still have some time, time is short this is the end. I hope you will choose right, Jesus is the only way
