Meet The Fleet :: No Man's Sky Fugitive Outlaw Gameplay : #42

This series is a permadeath using the Fugitive Outlaw rules (see below) which sets the target of reaching the centre of the galaxy.

Special Rules for this series:
Either reaching the highest standing level or learning the factions language allows the player to talk to members of that faction.

Fulfilling the above condition for all three factions results in the player no longer being an outlaw.

The Rules For Fugitive Outlaw Run:

Custom Game Mode: Permadeath on Extreme Difficulty (All Sliders set to max)
Disable Tutorial – Only way to obtain certain Blue-prints like Warp Drive

Use of Starter Ship: The Starter ship is tracible and thus can not be used at all, even tech upgrades. To avoid having the Starter ship in your ship list for the whole run, you can exchange it with a crashed ship you find. This prevents you gaining resources from it as well as any other benefits.

No story lines: No Story can be followed, cannot obtain resources or blueprints from story lines
No Teleporters
No Space Anomaly: Ariadne’s Imposter reports back to Galactic Authorities
Avoid the Galactic Network meaning you cannot land or interact with:
Space Stations
Trading Posts
Planetary Archives
Inhabited Buildings (outposts, observatories, shelters,
transmission towers, facilities, etc)
Galactic trade terminals
Freighters (Cannot own one either).

Allowed interactions:
Outlaw trading: Pilots who land nearby or contact me
mid-flight.
Outlaw Stations: Can visit 1 time per station, must
trade ship when leaving to avoid detection.
Abandoned buildings: Can enter and use, but only when
all eggs are removed. Allowed to keep and use larval cores.
Abandoned System Stations: Can land in and use them, but
have to leave the System immediately after exiting
the Station
Planetary Portal: Can use it to travel only after
collected minimum 5 of the 16 Glyphs
Base Building: Only in Pirate, Empty and Abandoned
Systems and must be in a Cave
Uploading Discoveries: NMS Servers are not considered part
of the Galactic Network, all discoveries allowed to
be uploaded

Additional Rules:

Outlaw and Abandoned Stations can only be Visited Once (1x)
After Attacking Freighters and surrounding cargo pods, you need to leave the System Immediately.
The only way to travel through the Galaxy centre is by Interceptor ship

Breaking a Rule:

(Even if it is a mistake): You must scrap your current ship and everything in it, and also scrap the items you receive from scrapping it.

Once the ship is scrapped you must engage sentinels and destroy a Sentinel Dreadnaught to escape from the system.

Feel free to make comments, ask questions, etc. If there is something you want me to explain or investigate feel free to ask.

  1. The value of a ship depends mainly on storage slots, some by class and model. Damage is seen as items. The values of scrapping and swapping are the same, but around 30% less than told and bought value. Tech slots does not matter for the value.

  2. Move the Emeril into your rare supplies ship: it's unlikely youll find the BP for the Indium drive, sadly 🙁 Likewise the hardframe engine: you won't be able to use them until you get a Settlement (& you only need 4). Check all the modules on all ships: some can be scrapped (eg phase beam, c-class stuff) while others should be moved (you've an x-class photon cannon upgrade on the MT Vesper ship that should go elsewhere): modules should only be installed on ships you'll be flying, otherwise they're effectively dead weight!

Uranium for all non-Sentinel ships (& pyrite for those you'll fly). I've never seen emeril or indium used for repairs, so that should be fine to get rid of (minus the lucky 400 emeril for a chance hyper install). It's unlikely you'll need so much activated copper for repairs, so don't hesitate to use extra stacks to fix up ships to sell. Keep at least 1 stack of appropriate environmental recharge (phosphorous, ammonia, dioxite, uranium) in the ships you fly sub-orbit & use that to stock up your suit
