  1. The reason why we didn't stop was because we never came across extreme damage, of the homes we saw only a few roofs and walls missing, nothing really seemed to be life threatening. I did drive by a car that was hit, however I was driving at around 40 miles per hour in traffic when I noticed it, there was no way I could stop and pull over safely. Also my car was dying, and stopping meant gambling whether or not it would have started again. Neither of us have EMS training. My primary goal when out chasing is to document the tornadoes, frankly a situation like this is super rare and I apologize if you don't agree with how we handled it. Nobody died from this tornado because the REAL professionals were doing their job.

  2. I live in Elkhorn, Nebraska and my mother-in-law’s neighborhood of Ramblewood was one of the hard hit areas. It was very scary I didn’t know it was that close to my house when it was going past the middle school thankfully no one was killed.

  3. Although it was best you didnt stop if you dont jave training. Its seems pretty irresponsible to be out in a "dying" car, and if youre going to be putting yourself in these situations, you should probably have some first aid training.

  4. "OMG that house, that house is gone Chris."

Chris: "screw them we need this footage for YouTube clout. To the northside so we can stay with this!"

"Lemme mentioned that something's wrong with my car so people won't judge me for not stopping. But let me also continue to keep driving on, without anything happening to the car." 🙄

Edit: I would not even have made this comment had you not try to comment an insipid excuse when someone called you out for not stopping in the comments.

  7. Just survived a tornado in Cypress, TX (a suburb in Houston). This was the 2nd in three years I’ve witnessed. First one just kicked around some street signs but this was one different and so scary. Lost my trampoline and the street looks like a tree bomb exploded. I don’t have an internal downstairs room so I didn’t think I would survive. The house felt like it was going to burst. 😮😢Happy to be alive as some didn’t make it. I’m afraid of what the next one will do

  8. A lot of good advance warning and availability of basements helped save lives in this storm, but there was also a lot grace of God in it having a NNE heading throughout it's path, carrying it along the far western fringes of the Omaha metro, through mostly open country and half finished new construction subdivisions.

From its starting coordinates, had it instead taken a path akin more to a due northeast 45°, we would be talking a much grimmer story, hitting the center of both Elkhorn and Bennington directly and possibly Ft. Calhoun, NE and Missouri Valley, IA had it stayed on the ground long enough.

  9. HELLO CHRIS
Im a FELLOW STORMCHASER IN COLORADO, and I happened to come across ur video contents and noticed u mentioned that ur car was acting funny. Lol😄 Well that would be called VAPOR LOCKING Love 😉 So I did a little digging in my info to share with ya so u can jump out and fix it quickly and jump back to chasing. Dont worry ITS VERY COMMON IN STORM CHASING TRUST ME!! LOL I'll put all the information below for ya okay😉
STAY SAFE OUT THERE & 🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️
    KEEP ON A CHASIN🌪️!!
HERE'S THE INFORMATION ON VAPOR LOCKING:
Yes, vapor lock can occur when a car accelerates and decelerates continuously, causing the fuel to boil in the fuel line or carburetor. Vaporized fuel creates back pressure in the fuel system, preventing gas from reaching the engine. This problem is more common when a car has been turned off and then back on, or when it has been idling.
Vapor lock is rare in cold weather or during cold-starts. Some common causes include:
    High outside temperatures
    Extreme engine temperatures
Fuel lines routed too close to hot vehicle components
Using a winter fuel blend in warm weather
    Driving at high altitudes
    Low fuel pressure
Symptoms of vapor lock include: stalling, hard starting, misfiring, rough running, and engine accelerating poorly or hesitating.
To prevent vapor lock, you can try:
Using fresh fuel with fuel stabilizer
Making sure the heat shield between the fuel line and exhaust is not missing

  10. As I see comments about you guys not stopping for the damage, I am just going to say if you are thinking that they are bad people for not caring about the damaged houses. They kept chasing because there was already people there helping the victims because I was chasing and I didn’t stop because I didn’t want to get in the way of the first responders… so learn from this and stop saying they are bad people, Chris and his friend are good people and would stop if they really had too. Thank you for all you do Chris and keep up the great work! Praying for all the tornado victims!❤🙏
