The reason why Maddie was nervous bcuz Maddie stated in an interview that when him and Melissa was together Melissa would leave for work early and Kurt would have to look after them but he would stay in bed and neglect them a LOT and make them feel uncomfortable so Maddie looked after Kenzie every day like give her breakfast get her ready etc she also said how he verbally abused Kenzie and her a LOT. Maddie said that Melissa didnt see him doing the things until Kenzie told her and Maddie said aswell that was when Melissa stayed home some days and saw it for her own eyes. Maddie also said how her dad lied in front of her and kenzie saying her mum cheated on her dad and it went EXTREMELY personal. Maddie also said how her mum and dad would get in arguments a LOT of what Kurt would do to the kids and Kenzie would see it and get scared which was why in the episode the spider one she cried bcuz it reminded her of her Mum and dad fighting. Melissa would take the her kids to dance to free there head so that was why Kut said dance was the MAIN reason our relationship was done in this ep. Melissa had the right to be annoyed at Kurt when he showed up bcuz how mad would you be if your ex kept checking up on you. But Maddie and kenz in that scenario DIDNT need there dad bcuz Gianna was there for them and Christi gave Maddie and Kenz a hug b4 they went on stage which was rlly kind of her…

ok tbh ya Mackenzie and Maddie's dad care about them but when Abby was telling him how Maddie feels around him he seemed idk aggressive in the way he was talking and saying ik my daughter and all that stuff and it seemed like he could've been abusive not physically per say but in his words and actions maybe he got really mad one day and that traumatized her so she doesn't feel as comfortable around him or maybe its what Christi said she didn't want to betray her mom. 🤷

I feel bad, for Kurt because he just wants to spend time with the girls he really cared about Maddie and Kenzie Abby and Melissa tried to let him get out of the dressing room he just wants to check up on the girls and Kurt just wanted to see them happy and Kurt seems like a nice dad and Melissa is kinda mean to Maddie whenever she gets hurt even the other moms they think she’s always perfect but who cares? She’s beautiful she’s kind but they are so rude! And I don’t get why Melissa keeps going out with her new husband and Christi is super rude to Melissa just because Abby is her favorite doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about your daughter.
