The pc port design has white skin, dark red hat,dark red overalls and a black shirt with black eyes without pupils and a big mouth with giant teeth. This design is the normal mario but with darker colors and black eyes with red pupils, sharp teeth, blood coming out of his eyes and mouth, hands with blood on them and a katana knife on his hand.
TLDR: the designs are VERY different and they are seperate entities.
It actually looks more like the og exe game, where mario burns down the castle with toads and the spikes appear, even the mushrooms look like mushrooms from the underground level from the same game.
