But first, you may be asking—what is a Knot Wrap? Luckily, Suki from our Shinjuku shop is also on hand to guide you through a brief history lesson of furoshiki, traditional Japanese wrapping cloths that inspired the multi-colored fabrics you’ll find around our stores, online and on the app this holiday season.

Meanwhile, lokta wraps are handmade from the fibrous inner bark of evergreen shrubs native to Nepal which are then turned into paper by a paper-making unit that employs marginalized women in the area. The result is something that looks and feels like wrapping paper but is durable enough to be used multiple times and then recycled.

We also feature some of our compostable cellophane in this video. It doesn’t go in your kitchen compost container, but can be composted at an industrial composting facility.

So whether you need to wrap a single bath bomb or a whole bundle of amazing products, we have different wraps to meet each and every need.
