  1. GK was the best player on the field. He'll be a pain for everyone even if he doesn't get massive sacks. Also, R Jones is not making this team…the depth chart matters as does the eye test. 51 of the 53 roster spots, barring injury, are probably already decided. Powell, Coleman, R Jones, Kaindoh and Gordon all sealed their fates today. The rookies all looked fantastic with just an occasional blip.

  2. I believe Ronald Jones is a prime cut candidate for a different reason other than his play being below average..it's because of cap number..The Chiefs currently have no cap space available and cutting Jones and keeping only 3 backs changes that..They may have to sign an OL for depth reasons.Jones is in trouble

  3. I think its great to see young guys out there learning in real time game speed. I think they need more work, but overall it looked very positive. Its the first preseason game so a lot left to do and get better at. I seen some guys take weird angles and some slightly out of position on a couple of plays, but that is to be expected this time of year. A ton of youth on this roster I thought they done a great job with the first team and kick returns. KC needs to scheme better in the running game to open lanes for the RBs and the timing was just a bit off when the RBs were hitting the holes. All of that is fixable and Big Red and the coaches are some of the best in the business.

  4. As far as running backs go, I just watched the Steelers game. All their backs were hard running punishing backs. I’m trying to hold judgement, but there is no comparison between the two, as far as the 1st preseason game goes.🙄

  5. Our RB crew seems very average. I know the baggage, but would like to see us take a peak at Darrius Guice. Someone is going to get him for next to nothing and he's explosive and only 25 with very fresh legs.

  6. I told you guys Pacheco passed the eye test when we drafted him, if he becomes one of our top 2 RBs this season, can I star in one episode on RGR? haha jk but I seriously would 😁

On another note, Crum had no protection by the bottom tier players on our line

  7. Here's my take. Everything is schematic.. Scheme routes on each drive tried out on each possession. Justin Watson did well but I also believe that if they had switch Fountain or Gordon they would've also had a productive game. Cornell Powell and Juju in my opinion right now looking like practice heroes. But we'll see moving forward.

  8. Ryan once again with a bad Beuchele take. You were wrong last year in the competition with Gordon and you’re wrong again this time. I don’t care about the o line problems….Crum was terrible and showed nothing. Beuchele could at least move the football and the TD to Watson was apparently an audible.

  9. karlaftis plays “phone booth” football. he can be jittery abd and go or put his foot in the ground and lock his arm and shove you wherever tf he wants. i love his game, gives o lineman a diff look

  10. everyone get off ronald jones. rb in reid’s system isn’t like other systems. he’s a bigger runner rhat we could really use. he adds a much different style that mckinnon per ceh

  11. I think Crum choked but didn't have any line either. Buechele looked better, he tried to force that pick, he had a receiver that was more open to outside. He put six on the board though and at the end of the day you have to score.

  12. Gore was butter fingers, I still think McKinnon should be getting at least 50% of the rb plays. He's just got better hands and he's more explosive. He has more of that Damien Williams "feel" to me, and let's be clear, Damien made big plays when you needed them.

  13. Great video as usual, Ryan. I have to disagree about Krum though. Other than his scrambles, I think most of what he did looked rushed, sloppy and a few times even panicked. I'll re-watch it and see if my evaluation changes, but I think he would struggle to make the PS with that performance.
I also loved Pacheco's performance. There was one rushing rep- possibly two- where he went into the line a thousand miles an hour like in college without allowing his blocking to take shape, but I think (hope?) that aspect of things will be mostly fixed by the Cardinals game. He looked really good in everything else. And to think this guy almost dropout of the draft altogether…

  14. Karlaftis will be the KC Chiefs Justin Smith very similar skill set if you remember him on cinci and on the 49ers he had a good recognition of when it was pass and run and could clog up lanes with his power

  15. Anyone who says Leo struggled in pass game in this specific game is just using talking points. He actually did fine, way ahead of where Bolton was at this time and more upside because of athleticism.
