Jute To The Rescue | Jute As Tinder #shorts

I’m never camping or hiking without a 50 foot hank of 4mm jute cordage in my pack. It’s strong enough for most bushcraft projects, biodegradable and makes a great tinder. It is an effective stand alone tinder, but I use it mostly added to course and/or damp gathered tinders. In this case I used it to assist in igniting fatwood shavings with an empty lighter. Fire making is my hobby. I like to practice in every way possible. In the real world, survival depends upon having the proper equipment. I will always carry two lighters, a ferro rod, and a starter made with paraffin wax or petroleum jelly. #fire #survival
