  1. I think where Caserio should get more credit is the fact that we didn’t do it “the patriot way”. Demeco Ryans doesn’t come from that tree. Being aggressive with the watson picks to trade up get Will Anderson (a trade I think isn’t talked about enough). Credit to Nick and I think he’s just getting started building this roster

  2. There is very little humility in any football fans, humility only lasts as long as fan bases by which you share a common empathy with are underperforming. Case in point, Cheifs fans and Bills were linked in so many ways, both original teams in the AFL, both with decades of heartache and might have beens, respect and deep love of football, but, after Mahomes came along and they started having this unbelievable success and as the seasons went by the KC fans started becoming arrogant, condescending and unbelievably callus. Now, not every Cheifs fan behaves that way, but I feel that because of the way things have gone the past 7 seasons that many Chiefs fans have forgotten where they started from, they forget what its like for a fan base to have hope and the desire for something better and the shakey faith that fans have when you've seen your team fall short so many times; and for all the Cheifs that dont think this way, i applaud your respect and I go only pray that I can watch the Bills play next weekend.

  3. A Rams player had the same exact attempted hit on Sam LaPorta the play right before the Lions field goal to make it 24-17. Launched at his knees…LaPorta didn’t get hurt tho so no one talks about it and no one calls that guy a dirty player.

  4. the punt god will be back next season, they went with haack over him due to holding for fg. haack has held for bass 2yrs ago and punt god has only held for limited to summer camp. the holding for fg is main reason

  6. You guys do a terrific job analyzing these games and show real intelligent insight. But your take on the Ravens Houston game is really lacking. The Ravens are not only the best team in the NFL this season, they are the best team the NFL has seen in a long time. The defense was a sack machine generating pressure from everywhere and everybody. They got Stroud 5 times in week one and they are much better now. The secondary was #1 against the pass. Their best corners were Darby and Stephens, with Humphrey missing more than half the games and not really playing that well. Their quality depth in the secondary was the best in the NFL by far. They led the league in interceptions and takeaways. McDonald led this historic defense, pressing all the right buttons resulting in the lowest scoring defense in the NFL. This trifecta has never been done before in the NFL……sacks, takeaway and points allowed. They make good quarterbacks look terrible (Purdy, Goff, Tua, Stone to name a few). Stroud is just next. He'll be lucky to finish the game. Missing 2 of his best receivers just adds insult to injury.
Lamar's past playoff history is completely irrelevant. He's much older and experienced now, has evolved as a true pocket passer, has a better offensive scheme and coordinator and has a plethora of dangerous weapons at his disposal. They also have the number one rushing attack behind a massive offensive line that dwarfs the Texans defensive front that is, to say it kindly, a little light in the bosom.
Texas played well last week and I picked them to win outright. That's because Cleveland's defense was ranked last in the NFL on the road….and they played right to expectation. But this game won't be in the cozy dome in Houston. It will be in the lions den in bad weather. Stroud looks very composed most of the times. Saturday will not be one of them. He'll be running for his life.
Houston managed 9 points last time they played. Not this time…..Ravens 33 Houston 6. Snoop Huntley plays the 4th quarter.
If you're looking for an upset, its the Packers over the 49ers. GB matches up well with SF. Love is really on fire and they are going to score with Jones and all those talented receivers. SF will have to and probably will outscore them.
    Here's a nice parlay I played with 2,000 to 1 odds
    GB +3.5, Over 66, McCaffery 2 TDs, Jones, Doubs and Deebo 1 TD ( SF 37-34 )
Ravens -9.5, Edwards and Likely to score 1 TD (Ravens 33-6)
A 2 dollar bet pays $4,600……..Longshot? Maybe, but not if you really see what these match ups look like.

  7. thank you for the nuanced take on the Kerby Joseph hit. it’s unfortunate that the League’s rules have led to those kind of hits becoming common.

this is the best football podcast and it isn’t even close. the Long brothers know ball, love these guys.

  8. Greetings from the Netherlands, Mr. Long & company 👋 First time I've watched your podcast and I really like listening to and watching you guys. No hating on others, no screaming, no big egos! How I dislike those big mouthed egocentric commentators screaming their lungs out against players and coaches. You on the other hand are very professional and it's very calming to listen to your take on my favorite sport, the NFL.
Good luck to all teams on the playoffs! Ill be watching for sure tonight until early in the morning Dutch time!
    Best regards!

  9. What's lucky for the Bills about the game getting rescheduled?

Like first of all it wasn't even really an option to play as scheduled when snow was falling in feet per hour, and now they are at a -2 rest differential, with a ref that heavily favors KC.

    The fix is in.

  10. Lamar is a running back. He is a terrible passer. I dont understand how people dont see that. 15th in passing yards, around 15th in touchdown passes. Sure those are MVP numbers. Worst MVP in NFL history.

  11. “It’s Josh Allen’s time” is not a reason to pick them to win. “Everyone should have a turn to win a playoff game and he is overdue” is not how it works.

  12. You mention Kelce won't drop a ball again, but us Chiefs fans have been hoping that switch gets flipped all season and it hasn't. There is a big drop every game that erases points. That receiver room is who they are and this offseason its going to need gutted (except for Rice) because their drops are contagious.
