I tend to cool snow scenes as well. Something about snow that looks to warm that feels depressing. Or that could just be because Iโm in Minnesota and we see snow half of the year ๐
Great images!
I appreciate the way you show the RAW with settings, and then the edited versions. Itโs inspiring and fosters many ideas for things to try.
What a wonder of nature – great to watch and so hard to photograph meaningful.
Great video & explanations – excellent photography โ
why dou put ND filter?
Perfect post night shift content to relax and go to sleep feeling inspired. Thanks Adam.
Thank you Adam. Cold hard work, but a joy.
Another lovely video. Your videos really do show the difference between a snapper, me, and a pro! I just don't see the compositions you do. Keep it up.
Beautiful I love icicles too
Good Morning Adam!!! Awesome Vlog And Fantastic Shots !!! Thank You!!!
Always enjoy your content. It appears to me that you're a photographer first and a YouTuber second. As it should be. Thank you.
Great video, Adam! I find winter scenes are a bit more tricky, trying to balanced all that white with some darker areas to make it pop. But that's just my personal opinion.
very very, poetic shots!!…thanks
Love the icicles as well. What a beautiful location. I continue to enjoy your weekly videos Adam.
Keep going this is always a feast to my eyes. You are an inspiration.
Wolfgang
I've never been happy with any of my ice photos. I get really excited because of their beauty, but always come away disappointed. Nice job with these images! The one @ 3:50 reminds me of frozen puffy clouds. I agree, the cooler images make more sense to my eyes too. Was surprised a bit by the warmth of the raw files. On another note, how do you remain dry when Gavin always seems to get his dangly bits wet and frozen? Cheers!
Man talk about a challenging waterfall to photograph in the first part of the video! So beautiful but so much going on. Great images. That second fall at 7:15 is stunning!
Ach, so beautifully done! Thank you for another great show.
I find it interesting that the opening shows a film negative edge yet you shoot digital.
Stunning video againโฅ๏ธ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ!!!
At 8:38 I see a really cool pair of angels that I think make an interesting pattern of icicles. Over your right shoulder at that moment, you see the icicles making that "check mark" pattern, sort of a 10 o'clock and 1 o'clock if it were a clock face? That pattern at the right zoom so you can see it wide enough makes an interesting patter of icicles. Yes There is dead space above it at the meeting point or bench at the check mark pattern and a bit of a ice/snow ledge on the upper left side of it, it might be a bit unbalanced, but I still think it's cool.
I appreciate that you don't try to get more click bait-y, even if it doesn't serve the algorithm as well. I love how you always end up with great shots in challenging situations.
It wasn't hard to make it to the end of the video at all. It never is!
Some wonderful winter ice images Adam!! Thank you for sharing your insights and craftsmanship ๐
These videos are great. You make me look at scenes differently than I normally would and see compositions I wouldn't otherwise spot. Sometimes, I even see possible comps within the videos themselves. Of course, what I think I see might not be anything if I were actually there.
Those ice looks like cotton candy! So delicious!
Really liked the first image, the first icicle image and the pano icicle image (or pano like crop). These three were my favorites today. I always appreciate your comments and walk through's. I learn something of value each time. Thanks for posting, sir.
Great vlog Adam, the icicles are great. A nice spot to photograph. Might be cool in the early spring. With the light pastels and the spring showers. Thanks again
March 20th and still a foot of snow on the ground here. Temp lows about 10F. Yeah, frozen waterfalls, was shooting one yesterday. Too much snow for tripods. Last week I trekked through some waist deep stuff to get to my waterfalls.
Some of those ice shots look like a mystical forest! Very cool.
Love the icicles!!!โค
Unreal Adam; well done!!
l love the wide crop on the last shot, Surprised me. Very effective
Love the icicles !!!
