He's got a good reason to be in that conversation, one of the most skilled rappers and one of the best lyricists, he's never disappointed with his music. Truly an incredible artist.
Black Thought gave us a 2022 with Cheat Codes with the collaboration Danger Mouse, Thought gave us lyricism, work with other legends, and abstract instrumental, Cheat Codes is powerful album of 2022
I liked cheat codes more but this record is also really good. I love that we live in this time where these rappers in their 50s are just getting better. Loved this review!
Honestly, I've had Black Thought on my Top 5 (based on skillset and catalogue) for a while. Diving into his discography both with The Roots and as a solo artist, I noticed that this man has a flawless discography, filled with top tier verses and production
It’s actually scary, I have heard every album from him both solo and with the roots and almost every feature and I can’t think of a single bad verse that he’s put out. Easy top 3 and he’s not 3 or 2
he might just be the goat
It's getting really hard not to say him bro
Black thought is a lock for Mt. Rushmore in Hip Hop

You know your hip hop. Earned a fan. PEOPLE SLEEP ON BLACK THOUGHT.
