Congratulations. Also regarding the Redfall situation is:
1. It will be patched which means it’s not a hardware issue
2. It’s 60fps on PC which means it’s not a game software issue
Therefore logically it’s a Xbox API (application programming interface) issue!
Meaning coding to the metal on the Xbox is different, difficult and demanding. The three Ds!
Someone should have told Arkane to use that power of the cloud to get that 60!

King – not only does GOW have 60 fps mode , it has 120fps option too lol Spiderman remastered and miles morales have some crazy resolution and fps options too. PS5 doing it right with performance options in first party titles.

Woah, 7 hours!!!! Well, now I know what I'm listening to tomorrow all day long at work 😂😂
It's not a hardware issue the console can run it at 60 very easily.. arkane Studios have never made a 60fps game ever in their whole career not once… and they switch to a new engine that is notoriously bad with big open-world Shooters like Gotham Knights with untethered Co-op… so you do realize the internet went crazy because the 30fps studio that Microsoft bot that makes 30 FPS games.. well guess what they went ahead and made a 30 FPS game.. oh my God everybody loses their mind… it's not a hardware thing or an Xbox thing it's a time thing and it's an Arkane and Bethesda thing… we know they leave them alone Xbox had nothing to do with it.. Xbox marketed it wrong cuz they thought it would hit 60 at launch…but the 30fps studio they bought made a 30 FPS game… I'm just happy that now we know it was a time thing because they announced the patch is coming.. if it wasn't a Time issue they wouldn't have announced that,they thought it would make 60 at launch and they just couldn't hit the mark… because entering a new type genre of game and entering a new engine that's notoriously bad for that style game…. man people just don't know technology and overreact way too much… not you guys I mean on Twitter..lol… great show congratulations keep up the great work everybody loves the Shows! I went to check what was the first episode I watched and it was in fact episode 200. I found you guys through ACG. I haven't missed a single episode since then. You quickly became my favorite podcast to listen to. There are many gaming podcasts, but not a single one is like the Iron Lords Podcast. Nothing lasts forever, but I hope you guys last a very very long time.

Salute Lords and congrats on the 300. I found Cog through Destiny content few years back and it led me too this amazing pod. Your friendships and journey in this space is a inspiration. This 30fps issue wouldn't be a problem if Microsoft used its Tier 2 Variable Rate Shading that it can do from a hardware level, the ps5 only has tier 1 Variable Rate Shading, which is a variation of MSAA, it's inferior.
Microsoft has only used this technology for Doom Eternal and they've never implemented it in any other game, it's why doom eternal can do 1800p at 120fps.
Microsoft is just bizarre when they develop games for Xbox, they're not taking advantage of everything the Series X and Series S can do.
I do know digital foundry stated that developers prefer the PS5 API over the Xbox Series X/S API, which makes me think that it's developer tools issue or some kind of I/O issue.

Ashame you guys hitched your fandom to Xbox… not sure how Xbox got so much support on social media especially after the Xbox one generation. Well looking at all the grassroots work xbox did by having Phil Spencer and company directly reach out to fans on podcasts and other social media I guess explains some of it. Good luck ironlords
