Investing your Money in Pokemon Booster Packs | How the Sun & Moon Era Market is Performing

Collecting sealed product has changed a lot in the hobby of Pokemon over the past couple of years. What used to be something that many enthusiasts would tear open right away, many Pokemon hobbyists have started adding sealed products to their collection.

With the giant resurgence in Pokemon, booster boxes have started to climb through the roof in price, especially those that are out of print. Because of this, many collectors have shifted their strategies to collecting art sets of various sets instead of booster boxes.

This strategy, coupled with many Pokemon fans desire to crack packs, has really caused some of this sealed product to trend upwards when it comes to price. With many new faces entering the hobby, the desire to obtain some of these older cards in “pack fresh” condition has also caused the existing Sun & Moon inventory to become more depleted causing a spike in some of these prices.

Which of these Sun & Moon Era Booster Packs still make the most sense to purchase? Let’s take a look at the market and discuss!

  1. People just don't know how to spend their money these days lol. Its like Evolutions!!! People paying 20 bucks a pack!?? Lol. As inflation goes up, people whine about food and gas prices, but they pay out the ass for tcg lol

  3. As a new subscriber, I find your videos are very informative, especially being new to the Pokémon world. I see Cosmic Eclipse tin packs at Best Buy and I wonder if it’s a good deal or not? 🤔🤔

  4. Starting my journey in collecting Pokemon Cards again. Haven't bought any for the past 20 years until recently when my GF's nephew came over with his pokemon binder full of cards, we went and bought some together. Brought my love back for collecting and playing pokemon again.

  5. Does anyone know how to see these graphs but for the European market? I guess it's quite different because at least here in Spain we still have most of those expansions at MSRP (Team Up a little bit higher but still at 6€ per pack)

  6. I've been stocking up on the D21 pokeballs and H21 tins to do a big Cosmic opening, but I think I'm just going to keep it all sealed since I pulled one of my main chase cards already (Pikachu -with Ash). Great info, as always!

  7. I started collecting when fusion strike came out, but I’ve always preferred the Gx cards more than V cards. So I pick up any burning shadows or guardians rising when I see them for a good price.
