I waited on Mrs Bealy Good to ride across the finished dam. @letsdig18 made me work and help install rip rap. Conduit is installed so we can have power and communications to the island. It has been a busy few day!

What about putting a ‘draw cord’ to pull the cables thru in the conduit before it gets too long
jet boat races
Aahhh I think I know what’s going on the island. It’s been mentioned somewhere before. Either on video or the comments, I forget. I’m not going to say it incase I’m right. Don’t want to ruin it for everyone else. 😉
What do you mean , sure beats a shovel, look at the exercise your missing out on.Great video as usual,Stay safe.
So you are building a "Stargate" portal on the island COOL!
Probably think about some branches over the pea gravel
👍
@ 25:19 looks like a T-rex carving the back fat out of a triceratops and placing it in the nest for it's younguns to feed on, and the triceratops get's an unnerving pleasure from the pain as it purrs satisfaction while it waits.
@ around 31:00 sweat down your B.C. otherwise known as, MONKEY BUTT a well known hardware sells anti-monkey butt powder, the name starts with an A, in my opinion keeps you drier than a popcorn fart.
You couldn't have picked a better man than Chris to do the work, he's the most personable individual I ever had the pleasure to watch building ponds and other structures.
The deftness of his control of that machine@ 37:20 is like he's using the worlds largest tweezers.
😉😉
My guess is an observation tower with pumps for display fountains! I would put in more conduits, because I always come up with something that I didn't think of at the time 🤔 Really looking great
FYI It would be a good time to drive poles in the island to hold the dock in place. with Chris still on location with the track hole. 10 footers 6-7 foot deep?
how tall is the lighthouse going to be
hope it all goes as planned looks like a big project.
Fantastic project. I think you got the best contractor there is. He may have not been the cheapest but at least you know you have a first rate job. Good luck.
This is probably going to be the biggest job for the record books for Letsdig18.
Bealy, don't you dare start complaining about money now, I've watched this thing from the beginning and kept wondering were the money tree was planted. Big project, big money; let's hope the rain comes quick and fill that thing and you will be happy about spending every penny.
Another brilliant vidjo and drone work 👍hay don’t forget to put a sock or gaffer tape over the end of that upstand duct work, never know what mite fall in ?I bet you have already thought of that 👍and a draw string though it 💡👍
Was wondering 💭 why underground rated wire could’ve been dug into lake bed avoiding conduit
you’re installing a mortar and rocket launch pad on the island!!!!!!!
You are bealy good @editing. Watch out for those trees. Lol
You may have to ask Chris in order to answer this…
At 36:37, is that how an excavator passes gas?
I think by any measure for a personal house/farm project I would personally call this a big-huge-massive, pick one that suits your tastes!
I wonder how long till the pond fills in? Im bettering a year or so.
No work on the pond this week? Chris hasn't put up any either. Are y'all taking a needed break for the long weekend? Also, how's the new video with the Fosterlake folks going?
LOL
You want 4 inch ducting not conduit at least, the cross section of cable to avoid excessive volt drop will be very expensive and very heavy, put a pull rope as you go, use the longest ducting you can find to avoid joints, SWA cable with external waterproof fittings.
A guy down the road from me built a 60 acre lake took them 2 years and 2 million dollars
I added this channel after watching the pond build on Let’s dig 18. It is fun to see multiple views and even filming approaches. I’m looking forward to watching the pond fill. Might I suggest Blind Man consider pool noodle pontoons for the drone?
Lots of planning and I'll bet some crossed fingers on this big of a job. Looking forward to some time lapse photos of the filling process. Hopefully someone has done some calculations of how much water must continually enter the pond to counteract evaporation and seepage. Best wishes –
Great video 👍 👍 It's great to see everything come together. Chis is amazing. Keep them coming.
1" black plastic well pipe is good as anything for low voltage communication type stuff. Around here they even run the leads for the submersible well pumps in it. Definitely a lot cheaper than the grey pvc with all the joints in it
