  2. You may should have only put an 1/8th inch washer in the sling bracket. Reason being. Those small bolts arnt exactly what holds the sling in. It’s the clamp pressure the 1/4 inch washer may keep it from clamping down hood on the insides of the sling. Other wise the bolts will rip out of the sling eventually. Just my 2 cents

  3. friend of mine had a old tow truck like that he ran ad for junk cars towed free with pink slip he get the cars for free fix what he could then sell the cars made a lot of money doing it

  4. I had a Pontiac wagon that began life with a diesel engine, converted to a 305. It was equipped with hydro-boost steering/brakes. The car was prone to stall the engine going over bumps, nearly every time I drove into my driveway it would kill leaving no power brakes! The challenge at this point was to keep it from ramming through the garage door…

  5. great minds/fools etc etc – I was thinking "Use a bit of copper pipe!" and then ya did. 🙂 Bang some weld onto the worn face of the selector & grind it flat again – viola, like new.
