  1. It's so funny because when I was like 8/9/10 the Breaking Dawn movies weren't even out yet and me and my brothers used to watch Twilight all the time. We thought it was so cool because of the superpowers, the battles and the forests and stuff. I recently watched all the movies again (coincidence?) and only then did I fully realize the romance cringe. Like to me as a kid it was literally a fantasy/action movie lmao

  2. Lol watching you watch this was HILARIOUS 😂 in the books there isn’t a violent all out war… Alice and jasper show up much earlier. Soo it was actually awesome that they gave us what we wanted to see but still stuck to the source material

  3. I watched Breaking Down Part 2 at the cinema as my friends at the time were huge Twilight fans (I never cared much for it).

The Loch Ness quote was iconic and I had one of the best laughs of my life during that moment.

The fighting scene. Me and this acquaintance were cheering at all the death and laughing our asses off while half the theater was crying or screaming as their favourite characters died left and right.

Then it turned out to be a dream and we were sorely disappointed, I remember saying something like "Are you kidding me???" While everyone else seemed to sigh in relief and cheer.

10/10 probably my favourite cinematic experience.

  4. For the life of me I will never understand the reaction to Alice's vision sequence. In the book there is no fight, there is a lot of talking with Aro having "layers of strategy" in place to appeal to the witnesses and turn their opinion against the Cullens, so he can use them to remove a potentially powerful threat. It's all resolved with talking. Could you really have that as the resolution to all the tension that had been building up in the film? In a film series where there's already enough talking?

Hell no, you have to have a fight. And yet the film crew, who had Stephenie Meyer on staff as a producer, had to remain true to the book. How do they resolve this? Alice shows Aro a vision of what will happen, and we get a really awesome fight sequence. We get beloved characters dying in a real shock to the audience, especially those who have read the books. It stays true to the book and it's true to Alice's character and her abilities, and it gives us an exciting action sequence in a film – and a film series – that has really been lacking them.

And somehow, people hate it. The film-makes were really stuck, it was the best possible answer to the problem.

  5. you need to search up the reneesme doll and then you will agree that this ugly ass CGI was the better alternative lol. there is much more sophisticated technologies to make this look good nowadays. most recently in ST4 ofc

  6. I love the fact that Robert just gave up any ounce of caring for the last two. I would also like to note the absolute gem of a scene when Jacob shows Charlie his werewolf stuff.

You’re also totally right, Charlie is the best, followed extremely closely by Seth
