I have a clock in my kitchen which has no markings on the dial, just three hands and a blank backing. None of my nieces, some of whom are in their 20s, can read it.
Lol…I knew a few impatient, "yelly" teachers like that when going to elementary school. Haha.. sounded like that schoolmaster in Pink Floyd's "The Wall." π
Not everyone understands or is empathetic to the lack of knowledge of the person they are teaching. That does include teachers. A great teacher understands that basic word choices make the world of difference when explaining something. This routine highlights so many of those issues. The assuming of the teaching person that the person they are teaching already knows most of the knowledge. Then when they don't know…. No reason to teach if they did… But when they don't know they get angry sarcastic and frustrated. Confusing the one being taught.
Oh, I am such a clock watcher! From the moment my mother taught me to tell time & gave me a wristwatch of my own when I was 6. I love clocks, too, although I now prefer a more simple design of the clock face than I once enjoyed.
Nicely done. π€£
You guys are such a cute couple! Can't wait to see her again
The sad thing this was pretty much the same conversation I had with my Mom.

Funny stuff. First time seeing this routine. Telling time on a numeric clock can definitely be confusing for the one learning to do it.
I kept thinking that it would be easier if we just told the kids that Babylonians counted with base 12 and we just got stuck with it

Great show on clock . Lol
Dave Allen's roleplay is brilliant, allways good for a big smile on my face π
This was fun thanks
Glad the face of his watch didnβt have Roman numerals, that would be a whole new set of problems trying to teach time.

That sketch is one of my favourites by him. Thanks Jamel. π
Iβm so glad you introduced your wife to the group. She seems sweet! You really are a lovely couple. Thanks for being you. ππΊπΊπ¨π¦
Ive just bought a 24 hour manual clock to see what confusion it causes. π
