Great job guys! I'm sure it's probably tough out there not only to figure out where a tornado is about to drop but to be able to navigate in areas like that with so few roads to get you where you want or need to be.
Something about driving up behind a tornado into it's damage path and seeing its violent motion is so much more terrifying than seeing them from the front lol
Something about that footage of the first storm, where you can see the wedge churning away, but also the cumulus bloom above it just tickles my brain. You can see the same effect in the "first" photo of a tornado: the funnel, but also up into the inner workings of the storm. At first, I had always thought that part of the photo was painted-in as was done with man 19th century photos where portions were commonly over-exposed. But now I understand it was really there.
The EF rating is total bullshit as it's mostly based on damage and not actual strength of the tornado. The most intense and violent tornado ever can pass through a rural area and will receive an EF1 or EF2 even if there is data and chasers recording it. Imagine a Cat 5 hurricane in the middle of the Atlantic that deals no damage but goes down recorded as a cat 1 because it didn't do damage.
The EF scale is great for rating damage but entirely worthless for rating a tornadoes power. Hurricanes aren't rated by the damage they do, I don't understand why tornadoes are. Hurricanes are rated by wind speed/intensity/surge/damage while tornado at this point is just damage. What's the difference between this Cat 5 was the most intense ever however did no damage vs this EF1 was the most intense ever however did no damage.
I chased storms for 20 yrs.whats even more terrifying is seeing people driving around cops, with lights flashing to stop traffic, just to watch people time after time driving directly into a tornado.and I dont mean the mad scientist, Reed Timmer
I have seen like 15 different chasers' videos of the tornado Dominator intercepted, but yours is the only video I've seen of that second one! That one was even more amazing because of the way you approached it to where we could see inside of it a little! No one can beat Reeds video from inside that one with the drone showing the moment the tornado engulfed the dominator. However, yours is truly a close second best! Amazing footage and excellent work!
When you get an opportunity like this, zoom in as close as you can to where the tornado meets the ground. If we can see the funnels interaction with the ground, we can begin to understand how the tornado does damage.
Awesome stuff man! I was wondering if anyone else saw that second one. We saw from a distance but I figured most other chasers were still south on the first storm. That same rotation on that second storm actually produced a third wedge!
Anyways, great video quality. Good luck on future chases!
Fascinating! I wonder do the people witnessing these tornadoes have to call it in somewhere? They appear so quickly. Does the entire region have to stay indoors? Like the horse trailer could’ve been debris if this went sideways. You’re so close in distance to Dom 3, w/amazing tracking skills. How do y’all keep safe if a BIG intersection happens, Say F5? The other poster was right, you’re channel is gonna get viral again, if it hasn’t already. Good luck & Godspeed out there. 🖖🏼
I don't care what Reed Timmer's barometer said. You can see from his video that the wind in it was only EF1. The speed of the windbown dirt and dead grass visible in the video clearly shows wind of only EF1 at the most.

Add date to your title.
that was firewalking awesome!!

Awesome video Connor. Look forward to your next chase.
2:22 Were those cars in the tornado?
You are far too reckless imo
Top notch guys. Only chaser video I see that had the second one.

Good job Connor! Keep up the awesome work! Wish I could chase with ya!
Your channel is about to blow up, dude.
I won't be watching you again, because you have a filthy tongue, breaking the 2nd Commandment REPEATEDLY.

It's tragic that the rating system is so flawed that this tornado ended up rating EF-1!
Awesome work though Bud!

Did I hear Reed say “we were inside it” or something of the sort as the first tornado was going away from you guys? Lol
Lets point out the random folk just driving right through it.

Awesome!!!
Nice chase!
You all should thank that first tornado for offering such a great opportunity to observe and record, but never interfere 😉 Awesome chase, well done!

Great !
Driver dude go with your gut. If you don’t feel like doing it don’t. Mr Excitement here going to get you killed one day. 🙏

Mother Nature will not spare you my brother be safe

"If we get hit, we get hit." — My guy, I dunno if this is a good approach to storm chasing.
Incredable!
