  1. This movie was stupidly dark. I mean, I understand needing darkness for ambience, but make it make sense.

Like the nyctophobic girl that had already had a run in with the thing in the dark = playing games in the dark. WTF!?! And the fact that the movie establishes that this thing can screw with electricity – so you HAVE a method of dimming the scene for spookiness sake, yet still chose to set it up in a way that doesn't make sense?!

  3. This movie is also pretty cool, because it references Stephen King’s Boogeyman in the beginning. That mentally ill father who needed a therapist to talk to about the Boogeyman was the entire premise behind Stephen King’s Boogeyman, and how nobody believed that his children were murdered by the Boogeyman; only to natural causes or even at the father’s own hand. Pretty cool stuff, I’d give the movie points for that.

  4. This movie explores something very primal but very real: no one's actually scared of being alone in the dark or an empty street at night , they're just scared of not being actually alone in the dark or empty street at night.

  5. Given that a number of Rita's shotgun blasts and being set on fire didn't kill it I'm not sure some of these will work.
This was a damn good movie and would love to see a prequel of the first family.

  6. I would love to see a horror movie where the parent dosent beleive theirs a monster but still actually tries to see what the kids see & do everything to make things better, until they actually see the threat themselves. Instead of just not believing their kids.

  7. Well the good thing about my AirPods is that they have a transparency and noise cancellation mode so if I ever need to use one of my guns I don’t have to worry about going deaf in the process lol

  9. Who trusted the crack head looking chick with a pump shotgun 23:04

And just a pump shotgun? Really? This looks like its set in america, yes? Couldn't get a automatic rifle? Remove the flash hider and get skme hollow point 5.56, you can dish out more damage with that, and personally i have a vepr 12, my pride and joy, semi auto mag fed shotgun, and I have 30 shell mags for it, sure its heavy as hell, but the weight helps keep it down when firing quickly
