My favourite Season
We know there are groups outside the Commonwealth who work with them, look at the Opium Poppy Farm community we met early on… One group I wish we knew what happened to is Georgies. I'm not really sure if CRM are unofficially involved with the Commonwealth, the writers might try and stay clear from that, but it would be a nice segway for Rick to return.
Rick isn’t gonna show up that’d completely ruin his show if anything we’re prolly gonna see him waking up in a CRM hospital bed paralleling the pilot episode also symbolically would be like him waking up in a brand new world

If Rick returns before the end of the series, I can see it playing out like this. The final moments of the finale……
( Daryl, Carol, and the remaining survivors escape a collapsing Commonwealth. Pamela and Lance, now dead, represent the last nail in the coffin of a quickly crumbling Commonwealth. With the large society in chaos, and a final transmission from Lance to the CRM before dying, the militaristic group is seen arriving in several helicopters over the city. Daryl stops his escape through the outer perimeter of the Commonwealth city limits, close up on his face as he watches the helicopters land inside the city walls.
Close up on the doors of one helicopter in particular. Doors open and several men jump out dressed in riot gear. Finally the last of the helicopter crew leaves the chopper revealing a very alive Rick Grimes. Judith sees the shock on Daryl's face and questions who the man is. Daryl slowly turns to her and says "That's your Dad.")

Most the show after Rick left in the helicopter is like a soap opera I had to skip over tons of the scenes because it was so boring and has nothing to do with the whole show .

Sad to say TWD which had several very good seasons died well before Rick. George, you attempt to logic a show that today frequently writes itself into corners and magically escapes. Not even a pretense of writer's ethics. Again and again and again. We watch because we must. (I speak of the folks that think like me, naturally.) Not because we like it. Twould be better to run a stake through its silly heart with the last original episode.
The CRM doesn't want any alliances so lance being around or not makes no difference, everyones an enemy of the state.
