  1. alicent wouldn't betroth her only daughter to jace because;

    1. she knows he's a bastard, everyone in court knows it, its kinda like a open secret that no one says out loud so there's no way she would betroth a legitimate targ princess to the illegitimate son of harwin strong in a world where status of birth matters a LOT (seen in the case of jon snow in got), any children born thru helaena and jace's supposed marriage would also be categorically illegitimate

    2. additionally marrying helaena off to rhaenyra's son only benefits rhaenyra and raises the risk of helaena being used as a leverage against alicent's faction in the future (remember how the lannisters tried to use sansa's presence in King's landing against the starks to keep them from biting back)

    3. Lastly it is essential to remember that alicent's motivation right now is fear for her children! She fears that when the time comes, rhaenyra would cut off any challenges (male heirs: aegon aemond) to her succession if the need arises or her own status as a claimant to the throne gets challenged, and even accepting rhaenyra's proposal doesn't reduce this risk to her boys.

    In conclusion, if alicent accepts the proposal only rhaenyra benefits from it, alicent gains nothing she only has something to lose. Viserys being the delusional senile grandpa he is, fails to see the political consequences of such a betrothal which is why he accepts it on the spot lmao

  2. Vhagar was the dragon of Visenya, one of the sister-wifes of Aegon the Conqueror. Vhagar is thus one of the only 3 remaining dragons from the time of the Conquest from a century ago. Since Visenya died, the dragon belonged to Viserys and Daemon's father, and then it went to Laena, daughter of Rhaenys Targaryen and Corlys Velaryon till she died. Now it belongs to someone else… but that's in next episode.
