  1. To change the interactables always on so you don't have to press a key you need to go into options.

Click on the tab that says interface. It is the tab before controls.

You will see a selection that says interactables. Right now you have it set for on button press. If you click on the drop down you have the choice always on.

Below that setting there is a slide bar to adjust how far you want it to detect stuff. I put mine to the max.

  2. @3:40 under interface menu enable the interactable to "always"
i noticed in a test game that abandoned bases have 4 possible spawns every time i reloaded the save
in a base i was approaching i saved before i got near it and checked out the loot
reloaded again and the items were different as the 1st time
loaded again and also different items than the first 2 but it had a tablet while others didnt
and reload again and the base wasnt even there even if i went to the location i could move around the area and no items on the ground

  3. R will unlodge the rover, i know this because i got stuck in a rock on the ATV, it winds back your position about 200 metres.

Oh and all tech after the benches needs to be unlocked at a banch, this is why you was unable to unlock stuff.

  4. @ the 20:30 of the video be careful in those old bases, as the hallway/ corner walkway tubes have storage bins in the walls. It was in one of those bins that I found my Rover tech. To do the Tyre 2 technology, you have to be at the Science bench of that field, and get it through the bench. At least that is what I had to do to get the tech from the shaded tyre 2 tech. Have a Great one!!!

  5. Great episode. The driving perspective difference in 1st or 3rd person is almost dangerous. Terrified in first, not a care in the world in 3rd. But probably all of us have had to use that “R” button at least once! Using red markers as stepping stones is good. I did the same then found that even when fully dismantled, bases actually stay on the map. So I mark them as “looted” or “destroyed” and always in white. You can have as many white icons as you want, but only one green, red, and yellow.

  6. hehe, I only really use the names to signify that I've looted that base, since they don't disappear from the map when you take down the buildings and such.

  7. On the upper console panel, above the drivers seat in the Rover, you have the capability to lock your differentials to prevent you from getting stuck.

  8. Fixing circutboards – pick up soldering gun (replace soldering gun in spot on right side of desk after done, or lose it.) Flip board around to find damaged spots. Damaged pieces of board need to be un-soldered and replaced then re-soldered with replacment parts that can be found in drawer on the desk just under main monitor screen on desk. Damaged pieces will appear darker in color.

  9. With Grinder2, you can get HEAPS of materials just by dismantling the old solarpanels/wells/trafo outside the deserted bases, and with that you can build wells at places containing water (they will slowly fill up and next time you go around, you have plenty water)… Solarpanels i would build wherever you stop (just one medium) to load Rover a bit, but dismantle it before leaving… (goes quick and gives you few points through time). Oxygene is harder to get (not really hard but takes more time and items to set up), but you can have good amount with you and Rover has its own O2 tanks…
Should you build the extended rover batteries, you put them in the right side compartment of rover (besides rack for oxygen flasks).
BTW the inventory in Rover is huge, use it especially for the Boards as they don't stack…
