Since the launch of our Kickstarter for Heroes and Generals 2 we have received a lot of questions on our Discord and Social Media channels.

Today we are answering as many questions as we can and if we have time, take some live viewer questions.

  1. A great stream I am sure to all those who weren't busy enough I guess I am too spoiled having to rush after work being one of the last peeps out there that just haven't made it 😞

  2. sadly i wasnt there i been playing the game since 2020 and since then i play it nearly every day cause i like it so much would love to play h&g 2 in the future hope it all works out anyways great game keep up the good work 😀

  3. Im kinda sad seeing this happening, to game i played the most. I still remember when it was released on steam and we were all with basic rifles running around. Then a Pz.35t appeared and we threw hand grenades trying to stop him but couldnt. When i bought bazooka it was crazy! I pledged and still hope there is future!

    Everyone has a registered email for their character/account.
    Let us keep our account names through that. I certainly shouldn't have to pay to reserve my name (I intend to change mine anyway though).
    It will also lock out the ones that have been banned already.
    Vouchers or lifetime memberships to those accounts by a rate through time served rts or by how many generals and such. Many worked hard in this game…for you (devs).
    The lifetime would bring back old players from the years gone by…it may help repopulate.
    I would advise not to leave people hanging for a year as you prep for testing. Gotta keep that fight going.

    PS can you release the AT queue and let us deploy it all instantly… let the Titans clash. We need planes and para to have some fun before we all die.

  5. I gotta say shooting at red triangles that are hidden in muzzle flash is not great. I don't think enemies should have real time markers under any circumstances, because it removes any complexity in spotting and aiming at an enemy. I'd much rather have a ghost ping at the position that was last spotted.

    I do see that this is an accessibility trade-off, but it would just make the experience so bleak that I wouldn't want to play it.

  6. The kickstarter went down from 180k to 140k USD in the hours after the stream…
    I guess someone took Medlin on the word at 15:54 when he said that the Kickstarter campaign is not really deciding the fate of HnG… why would anyone pledge if that's the case? 😂

  7. Where can we voice our opinions? It feels like the stuff on the Discord will quickly wash away in the flood of messages. Maybe some sort of forum site with upvotes/downvotes would be nice or does that already exist?

  8. Sell the original game off to someone let them rebrand it the concept was really good and the RTS was really interesting that no other game has done quite the same way

  9. hng for all the good and bad was at least fun this doesn't look very fun to me, it looks like enlisted mixed with battlefield 5 and maybe just a dash of hell let loose nothing about this seems like hng to me and im very sad about that

  10. Will be quite long but here is what I want to say I really loved and hated from HnG from a 1300 hour player perspective
    1- exp mechanics
    The longer your shot is, the more xp you get
    2- Tracks reacting to terrain (to half tracks and tanks alike)
    Assuming you can do this would really make it cool
    3- The idea of a tanker in a tank tunnel visioned to where the turret points at ,unless the commander is outside of the tank then he can see a full 360 which is fully neat and good for balancing for these tanks.
    4- Unique classes, you already know tankers, pilots, infantry
    But Im gonna talk more on the maintenance part, I'd honestly love of you'd keep the maintenance part, that way infantry cannot keep spamming tankers, snipers, and what not.
    5- snowball christmas
    Yes I love it, and ice on water
    6- Stamina
    If you've played the game then you already know this, a nice way to really stop a person from doing a full 360 and headshot you while we ran on the battlefield for 2 minutes straight
    7- measure range iron sights, The tier 3 machine gun from america and panzerfaust (panzershreck aswell I think) have the unique features of their ironsights actually working
    8- animation
    Compared to the demo you have showed us, only the graphics seem nicer on the way, although the animation department on the now is kind of lacking since this is new, especially the running, (and just like the stamina part, make the gun go off sideways up and down like the original hng)
    9- buildings
    Buildings were always a part of hng, but not so many area are really accessable, but thats what makes the players really have a sorts of areas where they camp uncampable (unless we count paratroopers on roofs) makes it more fun to encounter people than die to a guy camping in a building for the rest of the game
    10 -bipods
    Keep bipods, its the real great aspect for machinegunners where as assualt rifles are better close range to mid keeping machine gunners unique to the other types of guns for infantry
    Machine guns also are good at close range, but better at mid range due to the recoil being better with the bipods where submachineguns are the absolute best at close range with insane hipfire accuracy and low recoil
    11- how much the infantry/ hero can carry
    You already know infantry loadouts, tanker loadouts( id honestly love a free wrench for these tankers), sniper loadouts
    You can select a bunch of limited weapons or other stuff at the cost of some weight for your hero , that way you dont expect a person with 4 guns , unless you carry that gun you stole
    12- utilizing guns on vehicles
    Its fun to see a bunch of people shooting off from a car, truck, or even other stuff
    But id honestly love if the machineguns were able to dock with the vehicle
    13- modifications (stock weapons to upgraded weapons, and vehicles)
    Although grindy and hella grindy, and unfair to newer players, it gives you a feeling what a stock gun can do and then you can modify it according to your own selfs own desire
    14- keep the civilian truck, tractor, and bicicyle
    They're fun,
    15- AA positions
    They're a good way to deal with planes when you dont have the option to be able to use them, provided that you arent in a spot were snipers dont screw you over, its also a friendly perspective for new players, albeit other nations needing buffs for them.. (cough russian aa)
    16- free panzerfaust
    Good thing for new players lacking in said anti tank weaponry or they dont want to use their money
    17- sounds
    Yes you hear me sounds,as obvious as it would in real life, you can hear a king tiger litteraly miles alway shooting or a panther's engine farting hundreds of meters away, its honestly a good thing and a bad thing, but its a good way to ambush lone tanks, or know when a tank is nearby
    18- fun vehicles
    Vehicles like the t20 komsomolets, weasel, (I dont remember if germany has one despitr being my main faction) are fun
    Keep them in and maybe you could even add others
    19- big cap point
    Litteraly dont make it a tiny circle on part of the map, unlees you want to have tanks watching that point
    20- skins
    They're cool when you dont have anything to progress with
    21- weakpoints
    Just like how you tires for cars even to engines for cars to tanks ammo, engine, and even gun barrel being damaged, although id love to have healthier tracks for bigger tanks, its unreal how easily big tracks get knocked off by a anti material rifle
    22- spotting mechanics
    I still have a feeling this needs to be redone or whatnot, but this was really useful to tell my friends where an enemy was along for the spotting mechanics since all you do is look at an enemy.. but honestly would be better if you could make it so that players can pinpoint a certain spot and alert allies
    23- new player progression (and daily login)
    On the f2p perspective this really helped and I mean really helped on the f2p perspective to catch up from players who've been players for years or months for a new player, which made it more fun and bearable for the grind, while ive already had no need for the daily login, it was still useful , I wouldnt like it if it was like warthunder
    24- looking at the map (as a soldier)
    I like the idea of not having a mini map ui on your screen, but instead a mini map where you have to access yourself, not only it helps no obstruction for player, but it really goes to show how much this can be dire at times ( I also like how other people can see it)
    25-compass
    Keep it, its usefull especially for nearby teammates in a funny teamspeak

Just here to laugh about when I called out 5 years ago H&G was going full cash grab while in a terminal state of health which was unlikely to be turned around. wonder how everyone who said H&G would be decades old and still going while laughing feel right now. I will tip my hat that it held onto life support this long, guess I will see everyone else at hell let loose in the near future
