HAZBIN HOTEL season 1 has reached its finale, and for the most part, I think it really stuck the landing. Delivering a satisfying conclusion for the main season 1 through line, and of course ending with some VERY tantalizing teases for what’s to come. So let’s talk Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Lucifer, Lilith, Adam, Pentious oh my god so much happened let’s go!

  1. One thing I would like to add when a soul is killed my angelic steel they do not come back that soul is destroyed. So the exorcist that got killed souls gone. Adam possibly gone. Only reason why sir pentious went to heaven because he didn’t get killed by angelic steel.

  2. Viv has spoken about that demons being killed by exorcist don't re-manifest (probably the same going for Adam, but I think we'd all love to see him in hell), as Sir Pentious was killed by holy light and not holy steel, this is why he got "rejudged". Also, the eyes you see on walls etc is the evil of those who were killed in exterminations. Viv has also said in a recent interview that Lilith's story is probably a slow burn, so I don't think it will wrap up too quickly

  3. You know, the series was pretty cool but everything just felt so rushed to me…
There were several moments just about every single episode where reactions didn't feel natural at all..

  4. I personally hate that they killed off Adam. He was the handsome jack of hazbin. Like it doesn’t matter how evil Lilith turns out to be. She will never have the amount of charisma Adam had on the screen. Plus his character design was peak IMO.

Like he needs to come back as an immortal sinner and starts something crazy. He just is too likable as a villain. You love to hate his character, and if a sinner can be redeemed then an angel should be able to fall. I mean look at Lucifer.

  5. Also, it seems that the deal that banned Angels from killing Hellborn has been terminated. If Hellborn are able to be targets, people such us The Deadly Sins and the Goatias are gonna be PISSED, and I for one would love to see a crossover. At least with the Sins.

  6. Wild Guess:
Alastor made a deal with someone caring about Charley. So he only helps her, cause of that deal.
Who could be that? Well… he was gone for 7 years… Charley did not speak to her mom for 7 years.
Could be coincidence, but well… could also be a hint to a connection.

But besides that, I love the comparison in the final Battle.
There was Alastor vs Adam. While Alastor clearly enjoyed the battle mostly and had the better technique, danced arraound Adam and seemed to play with him. One strike of Adam was enougth to nearly kill him and make him run with kinda 1HP left…
In Adam vs Charley she took several hits and still managed to stop his punch in the end. Showing, that she is so much more powerfull then Alastor, dispite her charming character and unsecure behavior. With more focus on the battle and less distraction and care for the others, she maybe could have beaten Adam.
And finally Lucifer vs. Adam, that clearly showed why Lulu is the bos down there. He totally played with Adam, who was never even a tiny thread for him.

Well, while it was clear, that Alastor as Sinner ranks below Charley and her Father. It was nice to see that comparison in power.

  7. What if the way in heaven is getting rid of your regret/prejudice/hatred

Like sir pentious in his life he hated everyone and we'll wanted to kill, but he died again in hell protecting his friends aka he sacrificed himself, a thing I don't believe he would do for anyone in his life

Angel dust could be perhaps redeemed if he stopped doing drugs and being porn star

  8. Edit: just saw the pilot for the first time and holy crap they need to get back to that quality!

I went in really wanting to love it but I was really underwhelmed by it to begin with, the writing was weirdly paced and all exposition and it just felt rough. Alastor was the only character that had any subtlety or mystery, I didn’t like the main guys that much beyond having an amazing character design. I’ll admit I’m kinda hooked now there’s enough in the last two episodes that make me want to know what’s happening. It’s not my favourite show, I don’t really understand how it’s so popular but if they can slow everything down and focus more on the right stuff, I can see it growing on me a LOT.

  9. Adam ain't coming back. He died by an angelic weapon, which kills souls. Sir Pentious died by an energy blast. He should have reconstituted in time, as any demonic soul not slain by an angelic weapon.. He just did so in Heaven rather than Hell.

  10. The one thing I disagree with here is that the deal with Lilith was made with Adam. I think it was Lute and Lilith instead. My only reason for saying this is that Adam doesn't bring up Lilith in the fight with Lucifer. Lucifer teases Adam for not being able to keep him from his first wife, and I believe that Adam would've 100% dropped the bomb if he had made a deal with Lilith in that moment. Especially after seeing him reveal the Exterminations to Hell on ACCIDENT, then Vaggie's old gig to Charlie on purpose.
