Kate, sorry to hear about your Dad. I’m so happy your back.. I have one question, the quilt behind you. How many squares across and how many squares down? My granddaughter loves it😊 and I would like to make her one.. again sorry for your loss 😢..
Happy New Year. So sad to hear about your dad, condolences to you and your family. Love to everyone on lime green sofa. Good idea to enter Agnes's quilt to FOQ.
Beter late than never, I guess. Happy New Year everyone. Kate, I love the way your quilt is turning out; that one little piece of paper stuck in there cracked me up. That sort of thing happens to me on a regular basis. I'm looking through my window at a foggy drippy day in Kansas (middle, USA). I have the edges and hem left on my autumn (ha! That was optimism) quilt. I'm not sure what I'll tackle next. I have lots of little projects started. Blessings in the New Year y'all.
Oh Kate, so sorry for the loss of your dad. All the memories you have will keep him in your heart.
Kate, I’m doing a color wash quilt and you mentioned using a golden ratio method. I’m hoping you can send me to directions how you determined to do it. I absolutely adore you and your videos. EPP searches hooked me up with you and I’m so very grateful. Hugs!❤️
So very sorry to hear of the loss of your father, Kate, thinking of you and your family at this difficult time 🧡
So nice to have you back! I’m thoroughly enjoying this NY’eve video, watching you hand quilt & all the recaps. It’s great to get those long time projects completed. I love your style. All the best in the year ahead! 🥰💕🇨🇦
Condolences on the death of your father. Very sobering when we step up as the next generation. How you will miss him. Your programmes is so lovely and words do not do justice ,to let you know how much it means to me, such good company and so inspiring with creativity. All the best for 2023.Bless.
Happy New Year Kate. Very Best Wishes for the New Year. I look forward to. Your chats and admiring all the lovely things you share with us. I was sad to hear of the passing of your Father. I have also lost both my parents , and not a day goes past where i do not think of either of them. A big virtual hug to you. Very Best Wishes from Trish from South Australia
Happy New Year. Your quilt is looking very beautiful. I don't understand why you call it "The Last Homely house? I live in a 13 year old house. Your house makes my house look very, very plain. I don't have any interesting windows in my house.
Watching your video again. Can’t get enough of you Kate!
For Agnes’ quilt, have you thought of doing your borders with the same grid pattern but on the 45? Matches but makes the borders different
Deepest sympathy on losing your dad. I knew you had a break and missed your visits, but was not aware your dad had passed, I lost mother in 1989 and my dad in 1997. Think of them often. Thanks for the memories, it has been fun! 💖
Kate thank you for sharing your life with us. Happy new year
❤❤❤ dear kate so sorry for your loss – sending lots of hugs – wishing you all the best for 2023 ❤❤❤
I was born in Warrington, where are you?.
I'm so sorry for your loss of your dad. And the loss of your Queen💜. I truly enjoy your videos. Thank you. Happy New Year 🎈🎉
So very sorry about your dad Kate xx glad you are back looking forward to 2023 and to what you have planned, happy new year to you and your family from me and mine xxx
Wishing you a happy, healthy, and creative 2023. I am sorry that your dad went on to be with your mom. Hope that the happy memories help during the sad times. Looking forward to what's next on the lime-green sofa, particularly Anna's quilting journey. Meant to tell you that you inspired me to try EPP.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your father, it’s very sad to see your parent passing but you were very lucky to have him for so long, ,I wish you many happy memories of both your parents . Best wishes for the coming year
It's so lovely to see you, Kate. Condolences on your recent loss. I too just experienced losing a close family member. Going forward as you are
with love, hope, creativity, and gratitude for all the beauty that is.
Best wishes always. Be well, be safe, do things with love whole hearted. The memories make the losses all worth the risks. Thank you all for sharing!
Happy new year xxx
I wish I understood how to find the descriptions of the new tier structure.Perhaps you haven't released it yet. I am so glad you are back on your "pony"! Yipee yi yah!!
What a lovely, restful summary of your year. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad, but you obviously did all the best things , taking time with your family and then giving yourself a break.
I liked what you said about the kind of zen place you can go to when you're doing something with your hands – I was surprised, a few years ago, to discover I can go there while I'm using my sewing machine, too. One of my projects for this new year is to make a Boro jacket, inspired by yours. Happy New Year from another corner of Northumberland!
Hi Kate. My condolence on the loss of your dad. It is so great to see you again you have been very missed. I'm looking forward to your great visits. With lots of hugs from California.
Happy New Year Kate lovely to see you back. My deepest condolences to you on the loss of your dad .
What materials is your display board made of? Love the jacket!
Hi Kate, love your vlogs. Do you talk about the checkerboard squares quilt top hanging behind you anywhere? I can't seem to find it any where? Thanks. Mark
Happy new year to you Kate.
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your father Kate 🙏🏼. I also recently lost my mum and have been spending a lot of time with my knitting. I only just found you and have been watching from the start whenever I get some free time…working interferes with my crafting time 😂
I have a hexi quilt top that i've been working on for 3 + years, I was stuck on how I wanted to quilt it and your quilting on yours is exactly what I'm going to do, so thank you. I enjoy watching your videos and hearing about your life so keep it up.
Happy New year’s to you and your family, I so enjoyed your visit today, and remising over the last year with you.
All the best in the coming months and I’m looking forward to your new videos, & ideas.
Hello Kate and Anna, Happy New Year! Of course I'll be here on your channel learning from you and enjoying both of you as my company. I look forward to the 2023 programs.
Happy New Year Kate ❤ I enjoyed your recap on 2022 ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 I love Agnes's quilt, I love how you have put the colours together 💜💚💙 I am sure Agnes will love the quilt and will become a heirloom for generations to come💝I am sorry to hear of your Dad passing 😥💔I love all of the projects that you take on, watching you keeps me inspired to keep on with my projects…my creativeness happens at a very slow pace, most times I struggle with motivation…I love your saying "Get out of your head and into your hands" and also, about having faith in yourself, your ability, in just having a go!! I look forward to your next updates, all the best, from Linda, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia ❤
Happy New Year. I always enjoy watching your videos. This one is a wonderful recap of the year. I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad and your Queen. Taking some time to reflect is always important, but I missed you. So good to see you back. Love the “out of your head, into your hands” quote and it’s so true. Thanks for sharing and for your wisdom.
Happy New Year
Watching and listening always brings me peace. So sorry for your loss; bless you and your family with comfort and fond memories.
Hello Kate! Wishing you a very happy new year. It’s wonderful to get to watch you hand quilt. The grid quilting looks fantastic! Good Work. My condolences to you and your family on your Dad’s passing. May 2023 bring you good health, heaps of fun, & delicious food!
Special thoughts will keep you going. Speak your Dad’s name often and keep his memory alive. We missed you while you cared for you and your family. Welcome back!
Happy new year
I find it so peaceful to view/listen to your channel, Kate. Thank you for sharing with us.
Agnes's quilt is turning out to be so beautiful 😍 the colors and fabrics are gorgeous 💚💙🩵💜
Hi Kate, I am very new to your channel, & I love what you do! I send my condolences to you & your family, on your father’s passing. May he Rest In Peace 🙏🙏🙏 Going forward in 2023, I hope you have room for one more, on your lime green sofa!
Sincerely, Grace , from across the pond in New York!
Dearest Kate, I'm so sorry about your dad. He was such a sweet man! I've enjoyed your stories about him and your mom. They will always live in your memory and you can visit them whenever you like, and maybe take us along? Of course, I believe in Heaven, and I hope you do too.
By the way, I don't remember seeing the quilt behind you in this video before. Can you share something about it? It is lovely and softer than your normal quilts (not that there's anything wrong with them for sure!), but I was curious about this one.
It was nice to meander down memory lane with you. Agnes' quilt is the best, and I still want to make one of those denim jackets. One of the things I'm going to concentrate on in the coming year is finishing some of the many projects I've started. Most of my quilt tops I've not finished because I haven't been confident of my machine quilting skills, but I'm starting with smaller things, like pillows and wall hangings. I've finished two pillows (yay!) so far and almost have a third completed. I won't worry about the fact that they were supposed to be Christmas gifts for 2022, and the quilting is somewhat wonky.. I have a couple BOM quilts that I need to finish piecing, and several tops I need to baste and machine quilt. Honestly, I don't know how many I actually have! There are four Christmas Quilts that the Fat Quarter Shop hosted that are pieced and need quilting. I've also made quite a few Christmas Trees, oh well I don't think counting them will help! I just need to enjoy the process and not fret about it. If I had a lovely open space like you do and that wonderful table I might even try hand quilting. But I don't even have room for a real dining table. I have a small, 2 seat bistro table, not big enough to even eat on, much less quilt. Anyway, you are one of my mentors and you inspire me. Here's you a BIG HUG of thanks, Kate! And hug the rest of the fam for me too!🤗🫂
Great colors in your granddaughter’s quilt! Nice reflecting of past year. I am sorry about the loss of your father. Both of my parents are also gone. I miss being able to talk with them in person. They are still with me. Have a joyful, peaceful 2023. ⭐️⭐️🌲🌲🌲
So happy to see you again. You've been missed. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I very much enjoy the stories you share about your parents. Much love sent your way. Excited to see what the new year brings. Looking forward to Anna's journey of her first quilt. Happy New Year! 🥳
Welcome back Kate. That was a delight to watch but I kept getting pleasantly distracted by the beautiful quilt hanging behind you.
Condolences on your dad's passing away. may loving memories of time spent with him fill your heart. may you share stories of his life with family who had less time with him so they can keep him in their hearts too.
