It was a great performance with nothing to critique. It's not really one of my favorite songs, but this performance is my favorite version of it. So I'm happy about your rating.
A well deserved 10 for sure. I was 13 and saw this live on the tv. To say I was stunned is an understatement. I was absolutely blown away. No question, hands down, one of the greatest live performances ever period. The energy in the song/performance at this specific show could not go any higher.
Alter bridge Rise today live wembley with a guitar battle between mark and myles. The song is a Banger. And the live show for a lifetime . Don't let me down man. Regards.
No this version was after gnr had become a bloated vegas act . The live at the ritz version that mtv played from 88 was the one you remember. That was the original lineup with what was by far the best version with steven adler on the drums who I always preferred to matt sorum.
What theeeee…YEAH!!!! This is the first time for me, when I seen a 10 point production.😮🤩 WOW, Thank you for the experience!!! I think that was a really nice job and this is the reason why they're absolutely deserved! Yes I enjoyed the show with a smile on my face, so you did your job very well! Thx again, have a great day, with a nice and peacefuly weekend David,✌n'💜See you next time!🤘
You should definitely do the tribute concert. I watched it when it was broadcast live in the UK in 1992. I was 10 years old, and even at that young age i grasped the gravity of what was going on and really felt it
Two voices in the world of rock give me the creeps: Axl's and Paul Stanley's. Btw: this video / version was the one played here all the time back then. I'm sure Sir Elton John is a good example telling people exactly what to do and not.
yours it's not the fact, everyone have their own taste. Your opinion is compleately subjective and for your own. Period. diva or not, he is one of the best top 10 of all time. For me he is the best.
So I think maybe you heard the Japan version of heavens door? I think that was played a lot around the time, plus it was bootlegged a ton….
I think this was Axl still in his prime, his voice was still strong at the time.
That's Gilby Clarke on rhythm guitar. Izzy stradlin left the barn in 91 before the illusions tour. (And with him the soul of the band btw)
It really was their best ever live performance of the track…
If we're talking live performances then I think the concert that stands out the most from that era for guns is the one pro recorded and televised in Paris….
Love the channel, long time viewer and please please for the sake of all that is holy react to Dream on by Aerosmith but it has to be the MTV birthday performance….. It's genuinely one of the most amazing live performances of any song I've ever heard, and I've been listening to it since 95 😂

Good
Don't forget the second guitarist Gilby Clark. Izzy left.
If I'm not mistaken, this version is on the double live album "live era 87-93"… so yes, it's probably the one that plays on the radio.
If you do ever get the chance do watch the Tribute concert, its lovely

That Guns and Roses drummer use to be in the band The Cult
I you liked this you should watch their live in tokyo 92 or paris 92. Top energy and performance!!

Ronnie James Dio is the best rock singer. My opinion
The song performance 🎭 you was thinking and talking about is the 88 ritz version on the radio back in the day !! ,,, 👍
Just wanted to point out that is NOT Izzy Stradlin,it is Gilby Clarke..love from Sweden
So glad to see you react to this, such a great performance of this song. The whole concert is fantastic aswell

I would assume this is the radio version since this was the version from the Live Era double disc that was released in '99.
By the time, it wasnt Izzy but Gilby Clarke. I remember those days. In dec. 2nd 1992, this was my first great stadium gig ever
Izzy's long gone by this point. Gilby Clarke is the rhythm guitarist & Dizzy Reed on keys.
Great reaction, David . You must watch that whole concert for sure , its superb
I've lived long enough to see a David's 10, my life is complete.

Nobody better than Axl Rose!!!
Axl may sound like M Mouse, but at least he sings live. In 2016 he managed to sing with ac/dc, no Mickey. Do a review of Axl/dc.
¨i know why gnr was there, aside from publicity¨ What are you saying? Gnr needed publicity in 92? HAHAHAHA
Disagree. 10s are perfection, and are unobtainable because there's always room for improvement.
That was Gilby, sadly not Izzy. But great reaction.
17:28 It's Dizzy, not Izzy. Izzy it's not here anymore.

Wow a 10! 😍😍 I love it!

I remember hearing the radio version a lot and this does not match my memory, either. I feel like the radio version was a different show.
