Played the Veil of Dust Demo and I liked the idea, but it has some serious balancing issues and other problems. Weirdly enough it has only positive, uncritical reviews and all I can think of is "that's weird, that's suspicious". Hope I am wrong, since it has potential.
Does anyone know if Sunhaven will have local co op on switch? My wife and I loved playing through Stardew together and would probably love Sun Haven too

You should Narrow by number of players. It IS important for most of people. Also, if it is cross platform. It is not a minor detail.
Stardew Valley is my top farming game, but I have really been into Dinkum lately. I also like Littlewood and Epic Chef is hilarious. I really want to get Sun Haven too someday.
Just don't visit the discord server for Garden paws. The mods are really rude, stuck up bullies!
Hey good video! There's a few games in here I will definitely try thanks to you comments. As someone who mainly plays these sort of games, I highly recommend Rune Factory 4 for something heavily story based ( I still need to finish the last 2 chapters, I only got into this one when it came out on PC). Graveyard Keeper is super fun and something different than 'you get to clean up grandpa's farm!'. My all time favorite, which I keep coming back to, is Stardew Valley. I'm nearing 1800 hours, and am not nearly done, thanks to the ridiculous amount of mods available. Also a shout out to the My Time Series, Portia was great, and Pathea Games is doing a stellar job with Sandrock so far.
great list! Graveyard Keeper is really good and unique, but I find myself constantly looking at wikis for things I needed to do 😅 could just be me but damn it was a bit complex

Thanks for this list! There are some great games on here that I didn't know about. While I love the look and idea of Medieval Dynasty, the lack of diversity turns me off. No female MC. No LGBTQIA options. If it ever got a more inclusive update, I'd be all over that game!

I tried playing Farming Simulator 2022, but in some ways I preferred 2019. Still playing Eco which includes farming, but as a game that has really grown in complexity. It would be tough for new players.
World's Dawn is a short but sweet, cute and cozy farm sim. It's got the farming, the fishing, the festivals, and the romance of the traditional farming game with a cute arr style. It does lack some things like WASD controls, replay value (unless you want to romance every character), in depth character customization (you can pick gender, hairstyle, and whether your character likes men, women, or both romantically), and a few other things. Overall, however, it was a really cute game that is shorter than most farm sims (maybe 12 hours if you play as slowly as I do).Overall, I enjoyed it more than Littlewood and SoS FOMT, but not as much as Rf4, Rf5, SDV, or Mtas (so far).
Sakuna Rice and Ruin is my favorite game with farming in it
I think I'd say My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock are my favorites. But I'm also a big fan of Medieval Dynasty, Sun Haven, and Dinkum from this list. And with Sun Haven – you said that there were 2 farms in it. I think you missed the big Nel'Vari update the end of last year. We now have a farm in all 3 areas.
