In farming, there will always be risks, and constantly battling the “unknowns”.
After taking stock last year of local Christmas tree farms and starting our own, we realize that things were NOT as they appeared. The grim discovery leaves farm Girl wondering how they can continue on the farm . . .

Possible management contract between WTF Girl and the tree farm owners❓️🤔
Are the trees sparse because they have too much shade ?
You could always cut, bundle and sell you trees to vendors in the nearest city. That way you’re protecting the local business and still have a profitable tree farm.
I like artificial Christmas trees 😊
With multiple Christmas tree farms in one area, y'all might just be helping each other draw customers in. Kind of like how restaurants clump together and everyone wins.
No help in cutting limbs and caring due to Covid and now they are starting to get back to work. Lots of places have to run this way so sad.
Just offer something on your tree farm that the neighbors don't. Make it unique such as a petting zoo for the kids or wagon rides…a winterfest of sorts. Hopefully you can get the zoning you need I worry about that. Anyhow, have a safe and happy new year! Looking forward to following your operation again in 2023!!
I don't think I'd let those other trees concern you much, there should be business to spread around, hopefully the work you've done on your trees should pay off, Thank you for sharing your lives this past year, A Very Happy New Year, Suzanne and family
i just love the 'completely different' xmas tree content
Hope that You Had A Great CHRISTmas, and Have A Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you and your family!!
I actually prefer the artificial tree with lights in them, that way you don't have to deal with the pines Falling off, they are a real hassle, I went to a Christmas concert at Concordia college in Moorhead MN earlier this month,. It was quite entertaining, I got a new puppy for Christmas, his name is Jasper, he's a black lab mix border collie, quite a Christmas gift, happy holidays and happy New year as well Suz ⛄🎄🎅🐾🐕
You would go broke if you had to rely on people like me to buy a Christmas 🎄 tree because I don't put up a tree for any reason!!!!!! But I hope yall had a Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and have a happy new year 🎉 💓 💗
Happy New Year. I agree with sending bussiness their way if you run out or something unexpected happens. Bussiness even on social media is competitive.
Get him a silky saw it will make life easier when felling trees with a hand saw. I use silky saw to build shelters and camps that require cutting through sycamore, maple, elm and oak.
hope you all had a good christmas and gets a happy new year🎉
Hope y'all had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year !!
It could be a good thing
Merry Christmas and happy new year
I've got a feeling 2023 is going to be a much better year hang in there and happy new year
Happy new year 🎉
Great stuff Suzanne, Erik and Earen, Happy New Year to you All🙏👍🙂
Good Cool Year,
Good YT Year !
Are you sure those little trees aren't volunteer seedling from the larger trees. You mentioned they were close together. If they aren't growing in rows, they are most likely planted by nature.
You’re doing a great job. You might want to invest in a battery type chainsaw.
We can plan for the future but it is like building on quicksand areas. Nothing stays the same. Happy New Year to you Suze, your children and Erik.
Like anything else, having more than one place to choose from is good for the customer and causes the business to strive to be the best which is a win win for everyone!
I think what you’ll find is that while most people would prefer real trees ( I know I do ) they are cost prohibitive for a lot of people it just doesn’t make a lot of sense to pay $100.00 + or -for a decoration that’s just going to get thrown out in a week or two.. personally I love real trees.. everything about them just makes Christmas right. All that being said I do wish you the best I’m your Christmas tree adventure
I’m in northern Wisconsin and the tree farm business is actually booming. There’s actually a shortage of trees and prices have gone ridiculous. By coincidence I actually know three people that have tree farms one is just retiring the other one has been extremely busy because of Covid years and are limited on supply. My good friend who has a tree farm sold 250 trees this year that were mature enough to cut and was sold out of those by December 6. And those were all trees that were cut down individually. So I would say the real tree business is still pretty strong.
We get a pre cut tree at our local tree farm that is 2 miles away. they offer free delivery with in 5 miles.
I have seen videos on growing " Morenga " , a niche crop. Allegedly can be harvested several times.
Competition is good for the customer base. Wishing you luck on your newest endeavor.
