I’ve never heard of the American comedian, George Carlin before, and a lot of you guys wanted me to watch him for the first time right here on the Irish girl channel. Well! I was not disappointed. He certainly has a unique style of humor, and I really dig his use of lists. If you enjoy these reactions to stand up comedy, be sure to let me know below in the comments. There are a lot more George Carlin reactions I could do. Or feel free to suggest other comedians who make you laugh… Or cry below.

George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008) was an American comedian, actor, author, and social critic . He was known for his black comedy and his musings on psychology, religion, and various tabo o subjects. His “seven dirty words” monologue was instrumental in denouncing a case in the United States Supreme Court. Regarded as one of the most important and influential comedians of all time, one newspaper called him the “King of counterculture comedians.”

  1. One reason you may not know George is you are very young. George was in the entertainment business in the 1960's. Plus he died in 2008. His humor was a bit raw at times. But usually was based on the truth. And it made you think. I believe he was one of the best ever. Also you should check out Rodney Dangerfield. These men did not have a filter. Check our George's skit "Saving the Planet." Bust a gut funny…..

  2. The reason George Carlin hated seeing people use Credit Cards for small purchase is because back in the 80's you had to use one of those OLD CREDIT CARD machines. It would be like someone decides to buy a pack of gum and pulls out their checkbook and then the cashier has to call the manager. Using a credit card was a much longer process than today.

  3. I respect Carlin though he was never my favorite. Richard Pryor was my preferred comic of that era. As for "clean" no cursing comics I recommend Jim Gaffigan if you have not checked him out.

  4. I love your channel but what is the point of playing George Carlin then editing out some of the most offensive humorous parts of his act???! Destroys the whole point of his style of art….do this one again without taking some of the funniest parts out….😊👍…J

  5. Actually my name is Todd and I thought that was funny aa hell, but when people ask me my name I do enjoy saying T. O. double D. Todd is actually Northumberland or (North East England) its slang for Fox. So Todd isn't that bad of a name after all. I do have a problem with the name Todd's use in movies but if I mention it you would remove the comment so I won't.
