Nice!
Meh don't like the spell-thingy. They should have separate cd's
Seems nice, is it a college project or something? surprised its Free
Cool looking game, I totally agree about the run identity though. If you gained spells faster I think that could help as well, since you’d be able to make more of a cohesive deck instead of just a few spells
Thanks for the feedback Retro I am a fan so I love to hear your takes. My brother and I will be updating the game and making sure things are balanced fairly. For now we are working on Auto Attack Upgrades to make each run feel more varied there will be more updates in the future as well 🙂
….That looks an awful lot like Aincrad in the thumbnail…
Those little 1% permanent upgrades always just feels like a grindy waste of space and time.
I'd much rather have the upgrades be harder to get (or even leave them as is), but then they provide like a 5-10% boost or more instead, or have some more interesting effects that actually changes gameplay in some way (e.g. make the temporary buff drops a permanent upgrade or increase number of spell choices – many games have those sorts of upgrades that could serve as inspiration).
Games like that if they are well made are our bread and butter!
I haven’t made it too far into the video yet but the moving rainbow text makes it hard to read anything.

Tapper, with shooting.
Have u ever played spirit abyss? its a nice mix between binding of isaac and spelunky, truly a hidden gem!
You should try playing this with a second character, it gets hectic, use WSAD for one character & the arrow keys for the other.
TIL: The 1983 Beer Tapper game was a tower defense game.
This game has no soul :(.
you ever feel art style whiplash?
like when each element looks good but everything looks mismatched
and the less flashy part of it is just super unpolished, like fonts and such
Y'know, more than run individuality, it's kinda difficult just to tell what it's trying to be? I love that there's a free version, and (other than sound effects), it's totally a game you could just kill time with on newgrounds. I also really like the idea of spell cycling, v unique. Definitely also like the cat. And the colored circle to tell where enemies and you are. But it's a bit hard to tell if it's trying to be a time waster, or a roguelite. I like all of the art, but again, hard to tell what it's going for. Maybe it's just that I'm watching and not starting from the free version tho 🤷
Ashbridge's Bay? Humber? Does this take place in a post-apocalyptic Toronto?
You can tell that game is a unity store mess lol, especially the effects, I mean at least it’s free?
