  1. Edit: the reason you're not doing the full damage is because enemies have armor too which reduces your damage unless you bypass it like with a critical hit or different damage type.

  2. To answer the question about dudes running away from combat, it's just an annoying thing they do. They don't even actually leave the map, you just can't get to them. If they normally wander around, they may come back eventually, but that's not guaranteed.
Not a problem with random world map raiders, but can be annoying if someone you really want to kill runs off. A backup ranged option might be worth it just because of that. You can put a stop to that behavior with a well placed shot real fast.

Impressed how you can handle these deathclaws, though; the way I used to play, I'd be lucky to take just a couple lesser ones.

BTW, you can sometimes interact with shelves and tables in stores to get a different inventory. IIRC, Smiley's store in Vault City is one of such places, actually.

Starting to regret that I didn't have the patience to watch your FO1 playthrough first!

  3. I know this is probably old news by now, but if you drag down on your companions and choose the hand option, you can shove them out of the way in case they get stuck in a doorframe or something. Loving the playthrough Mapo, so excited to see you fist your way through the wasteland! I maybe could have phrased that better……

  4. Great episode, looking forward to the next!
An handy hint – you can use steal skill to manipulate with companions items, without the need to go into barter with them through dialogue. Pretty handy for trading!

  5. you're doing great for a blind play through! so observant 😇 gotta give a shoutout to the ART and music in this game though! lots of "modern" games need retexture mods and overhauls to upgrade the graphics but this game has never needed anything like that, the art holds up 👍

  6. "Punching dogs in the face". If only Mapo DID hit them in the face, and was good enough to do so… Unfortunately hitting rats ineffectively in the groin seems to have deterred from that course of action. It's very, very powerful though!

  7. Btw your marriage there wasn't a coincidence – other residents of Modoc are talking about the father and how he is looking to marry off his two kids – there's a girl and a guy 😉

  8. It´s Fallout 2: Murphys Law Edition by Mapocolops 🙂 But it feels a little rushed.

And since we know how well designed this game is, let me just say… When there is a guy sickly caughing in a tent.. or a little girl crying, there is something to discover. And this means EXP 🙂
