  1. I love that Family Guy (and South Park) are so good at taking the piss. As a Brit, I love that some Americans haven't lost that art, as we all need to make fun of eachother to stay friends.

  2. He doesn't know what he's talking aboot? Ha! I'm a Brit but lived with a lass from Vancouver for 6 years…
    Eh?
I broke my 'father in law's' snow mobile…
Who'd believe there wasn't enough snow 4 hours north past Jasper in winter in the Coastal mountains?
& the girls are into ice hockey over here. Go Sheffield Steelers!
Even tho they're rubbish, female football is even taking over TV here now too. Go figure. I'm not a misogynist, but women's football is making me reconsider my position 😅

  3. Canadian stereotypes are usually spot on..

When I first visited I got the well known friendly stereotype. Landing in Brandon, MB my phone had died so couldn't call a taxi (I lost mine) so I asked a taxi driver outside if he could call me one. The lady who was in the taxi actually said we could share. She then went to the car rental place and after renting a car she took me to where I was going, with a little sightseeing on the way.
First impressions are always important and had so many just on my first day there.

And the stereotype I didn't think would be true, while in the car rental place with said lady, the amount of times I heard "eh" after a sentence was unbelievable 😂

If I ever had the money I'd definitely move there permanently ❤️🤍❤️

  5. Yeah, accents are more in small towns. That is probably universal. I live in the states in a small town. It's in the south, so even I will admit I have sayings and an accent that is southern. Or like people call it around here "country" accent. However, just 30 miles away there is a larger city of about 300,000. People that live there don't have the southern accent. Because bigger cities are melting pots. Except when they are really big like NY, and you have areas, I think they call them "boroughs", like a Queens accent, etc. Makes sense though. In a city of just 300,000, it's a melting pot of people from all over the country, but the city is still small enough where you are generally sill in contact with people from all over the city. Where a city like NY is so big it becomes like a collection of small cities within a larger city. So isolated areas develop their own accent.

  6. In England the girls DO play football. Haven't you seen England's 'Lionesses' who are unbeaten and who just won the European Cup? Their next match is coming up soon against the USA! And I hope we beat them too!

  7. My father was from Michigan so when we went to visit that side of the family we would often go to Ontario. To me as a kid there was virtually no difference between Ontario and the US.
