Love the SCUM series and excited about you playing this. Mist Survival is one my favorite games. Best advice I can give you, make sure you get a drying rack and water purifier made as soon as possible. Also, you can sleep, but it's best to sleep at night to recover fatigue, and fight infected during Mist events. You can drink dirty water but it can give you food poisoning, oh Sunrise is 6 a.m. in game.

Get in the cars to check the Glove boxes, good loot, and storage expansion slots on car seats some times.
You need to find or make a work bench to craft a Quiver to use the bow.
To butcher the Animal click on the picture of the animal in your inventory to select the part to butcher.

This game is so much better than it was a couple of years ago. Not sure if it's still a single developer or not. I think it's funny seeing some of the assets that are also used in other games. Glad to see this on the channel!
Goodish! You have to select the part of the animal you want to butcher: The head, the torso etc. Also, you have to craft a quiver to use the bow. Keen to see you play more!
This game is difficult but basics you can sleep just press "7" and you can sleep through mist and night. Butchering the animal is easy, just over the animal select the amount of meat then butcher will work. water you can get from the lake but you will need to purify it. the guys that shoot you are bandits and that is where you will find your survivor to assist you in the game. I would recommend revisiting this game. I sub recently as you are so good at Scum. Would love to see you play this game again.
So what happened you got sniped buy a military sniper and he was guarding a military base or something and also be aware that there are bandit camps too
I do recommend watching mr freudal he has a bunch of videos on this game and you will understand more
