While I have great respect and admiration for Elon Musk and recognize his intellectual brilliance, the notion of traveling to Mars keeping human beings alive and having a permanent or permanent presence let alone a colony seems very much not possible with our current level of technology and anything in the foreseeable future. And that relates to the hazards we know about.
This fantasy story contained two glaring examples of a critical flaw. As someone familiar with mission crititical systems that cannot fail, the lack of redundancy in the space suit failure and the air purification system failurs indicates unrealistic optimism in the reliability of equipment that may be systemic. The failure to have a lack of sustainable food supply and water supply is indicative of poor planning. In real life these flaws would not be overlooked but there are almost dangers that are not known and can't be planned for. Mars is a barren rock that like the trip to get there is completely hostile to human life. I understand the motivation but I don't understand how insurmountable engineering problems can be overcome.
Why hasn’t there been any report on this ? It’s total nonsense and scam science fiction of the worst kind.
That there hasn’t been a single team that has gone anywhere near Mars so what is this nonsense about? There is no Mars base, heck there’s not even a moon base yet, yet anyone not aware of basic facts could be fooled into believing this worthless equine turds.
