Are you sure it's not "insane?"

Diverse operations with a crew containing only crows.
Early☺
I'd be more concerned with the airframe and its age than anything external that can be easily patched, repaired or replaced. And as far as bomb loads the B52's 70,000 pounds total bomb load is made to look small when compared to the bomb load of the Rockwell B1, which can carry 125,000 pounds of bombs.
Fun fact. In Vietnam. two B-52 tail gunners shot down 2 Mig 21 fighters with the quad .50 BMG.
I missed all of the 'scary processes'.
I see nothing scary. 🤦♂️
I grew up watching B52's taking off near my house, I love the sound and sight of freedom.
Nice interesting video. Best wishes from ❤: Sanjit Dutta. India, West Bengal, Howrah, Ramrajatala.
Awesome aircraft! 😊😊
That's why Boeing is the best designer/ builder of aircraft in the world. I worked in the airlines for 45+ years & a good portion of that on the 747. If they're properly maintained they'll last forever. I am amazed at the basic structure of the wings though. Those wing spars must really be something. If anything is going to fail, it's usually those, when talking about something that would make a plane fall out of the sky.
Airbus, on the other hand are junk. When my airline first got the A320s, we called them "Hugos with wings". And when they went in for their first heavy maintenance, we had to replace whole seat tracks because unlike Boeing, we couldn't replace just the damaged pieces. They're 20' long !
Impressive!!!!…
Just a normal day for a crew chief…..I was a CC on F-4Cs but always loved the B-52. Many years after leaving the USAF a B-52 crew chief Tsgt allowed me to go up to the cockpit with him and showed me the various stations. This was at an airshow at NAS Oceana, and I wanted to send him some FDNY patches as he had given me a squadron patch from his unit ( Louisiana ). I was a recently retired FDNY Fireman and this aircraft had both the FDNY and NYPD emblems painted on it's nose. I lost his address and couldn't contact him. Sorry man….thanks so much brother !
Wow! what a powerful video
greetings from Vietnam.December 18th to 29th, 1972. HANOI DIEN BIEN PHU IN THE AIR
B-52 really isn't a large aircraft it's smaller than a 727
After 22 years in the military I came to realize women don’t belong there.
Absolutely fascinating video presentation. Thanks! 👍
Maintenance crews, such a thankless job. Thanks for the video. It’s those guys that make this all happen. Not the pilots who fly them.
I miss the Cold War. We knew the enemy and had his address. If he attacked us, we knew where to send a condolence card because we would practically wipe him out.
Now, where would we deliver out kt-mt care packages?
If the B-52 can last up to one hundred years, I don't understand why the C-141s were all scrapped save a few on static display. With all the times they went to depot maintenance, they should also still be flying.
Former crew chief C-141B.
Ohhhhh, SCARY!
