  1. I never quite needed the Fuel Rats but I came very very close in the early days of the Formidine Rift explorations before jumponium boosts were a thing. Got into a spiral of extreme-limit-of-jump-range systems between galactic arms and couldn't get out for days, and had to get fuel down to a tank of fumes to be light enough… plus being forced into using non-scoopable stars in the void. I'm amazed by the discipline and efficiency of the Rats, true philanthropists.

  2. I'm an inactive Rat atm. But I will say that being a part of the rats is like being part of an amazing family of caring and giving members. it made my time in Elite worth while to me. putting in the effort and time to rescue those who needed help was and is an amazing experience. and the gratitude of the rescuees is worth the time invested

  3. Nope my carrier still shows 94million weekly upkeep and is not withdrawing any money lol! All you console players the steam sale is a good time to get a copy of odyssey for PC when they do the ports!

  4. I tried to get on the Wytch Hunt discord, but like so many sites and channels, it does not like that I run on a VPN. I would like to participate, but not so much that I want my real IP address scattered all about.

  5. See? A good example of how BGS can potentially screw a narrative. So basically we have a bunch of potentially anti-anti-xeno whiners that are probably both frustrated that they can’t fight Thargoid, as they have dedicated all of their time and resources in human combat, as well as those very same sorts that now also want a non-Thargoid related storyline, all basically protesting this season’s saga, by removing a key component to it. That’s what we’re basically saying. Didn’t Wreaken also once hand out permits to Col 70? Until this very same lot pushed them out of one of their auxiliary system, so that they no longer could hand out permits? And it just so happened that we also could access to their home system? Since, I think, it was in Col 70? That’s the only thing I don’t like about this game. Anyone who thinks it would be cool to go against the grain, or can’t do something can basically just grief an entire community. I mean, you can even just lock out a system by having a group of players go on a security killing spree. I mean, we’ve never had a narrative like this and already we have people opposed to it and wanting to shut it down. Just learn how to fight Thargoid already and enjoy the ride.

  6. I greatly respect each and everyone who is or has served with the Fuel Rats. I haven’t needed their help yet but it makes me comfortable about going further away from the bubble knowing that we have players with a service like this. Thank you all so very much and o7 commanders

  7. The fuel rats are amazing. My first and only interaction with them went like this. Me in my early days lost track of my sidewinder's fuel gauge and got stranded with no scoop equipped or station in sight. Although I could afford the rebuy I gave it a shot and called the rats. Being a jaded gamer myself I expected to be blown into pieces. But instead my initial assumptions got blown up. The rat agent arrived, threw me some limpets, suggested to me I should go for a cobra and wished me a good rest of my day. What a champ!

I never needed the help of the rats since because I learned to avoid such mishaps but I will defend their existence til the end! o7, you magnificent bastards! 🙂
