I love Dust!
Love this game. I have a ridiculous collection.
the grid system work great in Mantic Dead Zone 🙂
Yes, premium sets had great paint jobs and weathering. Now they are very expensive to acquire.
The FFG Dust miniature game was a lot of fun. Elements of the game can be seen in some later Star Wars games especially the scenario creation aspect. I still have a lot of non-premium Dust miniatures in a box in the garage and I think they are going to be repurposed very soon for other Indie miniature games. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Both Dust and AT-43 (related games in a sense) were great avenues to get some pre-painted minis and were not half-bad games in their own right.
The only thing I remember from this line was there being a rush on those little Soviet mechs to kitbash into Killer Kanz back in the day.
I remember wanting to get into this game so bad for so long but I could never convince anyone to get into it. So many cool designs that are hard to get now
This is a great box. I still have my AT43 Red Blok, Karmann stuff and use them for solo play even today.😊
Its a shame this game never gained any footing. I really blame the rule changes, manufacturing changes. Battlefront in particular. However the minis are good. Wish the economy was a little better and somebody revive the line permanently
you can replace the grid system by using 6 inch's equals a square . Loved the basic Dust with the black dice . then later they wanted to over complicate it .
I thought they were bringing it back when I saw this video. Such a cool game, and it's really unfortunate that it's no longer around.
Really liked this game. Last I saw CMON games has purchased the game. Wonder if they will do anything with it?
I've got a handful of SSU models I'm always trying to fund a fun rule set for! I love the Steel Guard Snipers 🤩
Can't recall ever seeing these "fown under" – look great for a OPR skirmish game.
You don't have to place the Zona Alfa games in Eastern Europe. Can by anywhere! Canada…?
Love Dust Tactics. Bought pretty much the whole line a decade or so ago, and stil play it with a couple of friends from time to time.
Also, there's no real reason that Zona Alfa has to be confined to eastern Europe, Roadside Picnic took place somewhere in North America after all.
Coincidentally I just "dusted" off my Dust collection and am thinking of playing against myself. I think it is a lot more fast paced and less complicated than some other table top board games I have. Doesn't take long for the two sides to annihilate each other.
