Driving thru Death Valley National Park

Driving thru Death Valley National Park

Driving thru Death Valley National Park from east to west. We circled around from LA and took the I15 towards Las Vegas and got off at Baker by the infamous Mad Greek. From there we took the California Router 127, see our other video on that cool road https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zknHo4bvx6Q and at around Amargosa you come across the Death Valley Junction. There you have to pay attention and take a left into the unmarked park onto the California Route 190.

We Start by driving through the tiny town of Amargosa and the famous Amargosa Opera House. In Death Valley we stop at the entrance sign. Note, there is no park ranger that is going to ask for payment. You need to stop off at the Then we stop at a lovely lookout or viewing area called Zabriskie Point, which has amazing California desert landscapes. Looks like another planets surface! By the way, the desert in Death Valley is called the Mojave desert and is one of the hottest and driest places on God’s planet earth. It also has the lowest place in America, far under sea level, even lower then The Netherlands!

Right after Zabriskie Point, well a few miles down the road, you’ll come on your left hand side to the rangers station where you can buy your Death Valley permit or pass to use the National Park. It’s called the Furnace Creek Visitor Center. It was a cool 115 degrees Fahrenheit this day! Then we stopped at Mosaic Canyon Trail. The headway to that hike is a road of to the left from how we drove in. It was way too hot to hike that then! So then we continue on our way up the mountains and back down into Darwin Canyon where we had a motel stop at Panamint Springs Resort. Videos on their infamous Sequoia bar table https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IN-xfUEPcY4 and the rooms themselves, like a review, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATiiINprlBk

We even got to go through a freak summer thunderstorm and rainstorm in Death Valley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVpcxPHgIIg
Soon after this, many roads were closed and some still are, weeks later. Always check this site to see Death Valley road and weather conditions:
