  1. For dining they really should implement a system that has a virtual waiting list. So if a place you want is fully booked you can set the time range you want and get notified if a table opens up. That way restaurants can remain fully booked and people still have a chance to snag something they want.

  2. I am really happy that date-based tickets will no longer require reservations. I’ve said for over a year now that I CAN understand requiring it for AP’s, but a date-based ticket should not require a reservation on top of it, no matter how ‘simple and easy’ it may be to make a reservation on the app. Hopefully AP reservations will drop eventually but this is a very good start.

  3. My family is a spreadsheet type of family, and we would plan out where we want to eat/drink on a particular vacation and then compare the a la carte price vs. DDP. It was usually worth it for vacations where we wanted to go to signature dining. The cheaper plans were usually not worth it from a spend point of view. One time, we had a waiter totally screw up the redemption of credits (he took too many), and we had to spend a few hours sorting it out at the hotel. So, for us, the ease of use/pre-pay thing is not as valuable as it used to be.

  4. Unpopular opinion: I disliked fast pass plus planning rides ahead because I couldn't REALLY pick the rides I wanted at the times I wanted. So, I could pre-plan up to 3 fast passes, but I usually was only happy with one selection.

  5. I don’t know if it was mentioned and I missed it but one thing that is different with the 2024 Dining Plan and the old one is it used to come with 2 Snack credits each day and the new wording says 1.

  6. I am really glad there was minimum to no political discussion this week. Although I had to mute chat. I get it most of the people watching the show, and everyone on the show(except Pete) probably have Bernie Sanders for President stickers on their Subarus, but man people get triggered very easily in this audience. For now on I am leaving the live chat off.

  7. Great show today. My family and I tried the dining plan once, when we got it for free years ago.I will miss magical express. Unfortunately that will never come back.

  8. Steve Porter in chat! Our family cannot ride the People Mover, play Buzz Lightyear or eat mac n cheese on property without fondly mentioning Steve. He was such a funny, sweet addition to the show.

  9. The problem is the idea of paying thousands of dollars to get your family into the park, and then having to walk a mile to the cafe hut and then wait in line an hour for coffee. I don’t mind paying. The wait times and convenience are terrible. And then there are no tables or benches in sight to relax. I think Disney’s focused on the wrong things.

  10. They just did a dining promo – I ended up cancelling mine because I bought an annual pass but my reservation came with a $300 dining gift card and for the price, it was reasonable. Especially during F&W – lots ability to taste test!
