  1. Eric was spot on when talking about the reservation system.
    It really stinks.
My son and his family want to go to Disney World next year.
I reminded them about the whole reservation system and they where like ugggh, another thing to have to plan for. Thanks for another great show.

  2. Being an Annual Pass holder and DVC member and an undesirable I have mastered the Genie+ system and know the park reservation systems. It has become an analytical nightmare that doesn’t make our time fun anymore. It is strictly swimming upstream all day long. The magic is gone! 😢😢😢

  3. Yes Rob in the 70’s they would decorate the entire Magic Kingdom over night and it was magical. My kids loved it. If you had a Contemporary park view you could see the work lights on all night.

  4. It's clear Disney is low on Cast Members and it's not a surprise how poorly Disney treated their staff during covid that every cast member with any quality was happy to move down the street to Universal. And it will take very long for Disney to build their staffing as Universal is constantly looking for new Team Members so they can staff Epic Universe in 2025.

  5. Rob I 100% agree with your statement that WDW “does Toy Story dirty.” Just went to the North Carolina state fair and it reminded me of Toy Story land – cheap materials, bare bones theming, extremely crowded but fun things to do

  6. From the view of fans that are only able to go once a year, those 4 or 5 days mean the world to us. If you have a reservation for MK and your fav' ride is shut down that day or it rains… youre forced to add on a park hopper or two, then rearrange your week to come back to that park on another day. And they are not controlling or limiting crowds! After experiencing Mickeys Not So Scary on Halloween 2012(which was fantastic) we attending on a random Monday in September this year. The crowd was oppressive! Chapek just needs to go!

  7. Is there even proof they are staffing differently from normal predictive models? Weekends and holidays busy, during week not as busy. Feel like they had to create a new wing of the company with its own execs and IT staff to manage this system to reduce their minimum wage staff count? Just doesnt make sense financially.
Other amusement companies just watch attendance and if its larger than expected they would just ask opening staff if they wanted more hours and work OT, and office staff would call PT workers and see if any are available to assist. A higher than usual morning window wont really feel bad from an employee:customer ratio until midday aka wont need food staff till lunch time anyways.
